I can't believe the positive reviews I've read about the Key Lime Inn. We found the room very small, with only one chair, no front or back porch, the sink was in the bedroom, the bathroom needed to be painted and the grout cleaned, the water pressure on the shower was the worst I've ever experienced, the toilet seat was loose to the point of coming off. One day we had no house keeping service at all and I had to beg for fresh towels. There was a stain on the ceiling that looked like mold. The continental breakfast was dismal and we ate breakfast out. This is a third rate place that is uncared for. The only pluses were the closeness to upper Duval street and the helpful and friendly young women at the front desk. We would never stay here again under any circumstances. I wrote a comment to the hotel on their website and haven't heard a word from them. What does that tell you?

Hello Mr. QuakerBoy90,

We only received your comment on our website yesterday, so it's a bit soon for you to say you never received a response from us! We're happy to respond to you, as guest satisfaction is very important to us. With regards to you not caring for your room, perhaps a Deluxe King Room instead of one of the smaller Queen Rooms would have been more to your liking, as all of those guarantee a porch or patio seating area.

All stays at the Key Lime Inn include a complimentary continental breakfast for guests who wish to partake of it. Here is a list of the breakfast items offered daily: Two types of yogurt, ham and cheese croissants delivered freshly every day from a local bakery, four kinds of breakfast cereals, three kinds of locally baked bagels also delivered daily, two kinds of oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, toast, two types of muffins, fresh fruit (bananas, apples & oranges), orange juice, milk, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. It's a pretty great spread for a continental breakfast! We are just a couple of blocks away from restaurants that serve a range of cooked breakfasts for those who prefer to start the day off with a big hearty meal.

We stayed at the Key Lime in over the Key West Half marathon. The location was excellent for us, about a 10 minute walk to the start of the race and just a few blocks to Duval St. It is a bit of hike to get to Mallory Square, but not unreasonable. Our room was clean and bed comfortable. We had an issue with the fire alarm going off repeatedly in the middle of the night one evening (low battery), but other than that the stay was very pleasant. The pool is rather small, but clean, nice and relaxing. The breakfast is nothing fancy, but gives options for everyone and plenty of it.

Room Tip: The superior queen rooms have a small fridge, which came in handy.

This was our second time staying here and couldn't have been happier. The rooms are CLEAN!! The housekeeping staff is great. We had a poolside 'Deluxe King' room. A little bit of a walk to get to Mallory Square or the marina area, but you get to walk off those pounds from all the eating and drinking. Lol. The staff is great and very attentive to guests' needs. Especially Gabby who has gone above and beyond to make our stays as stress free and pleasant as possible. (Hey Hoodrat!!)
If you want a rowdy, college age party hotel - look elsewhere... Bottom lime - we will return to the Key Lime Inn on our next Key West trip.

We were down Key West for 4 days and 3 night at the Key Lime Inn for the 1/2 marathon in January. The cottage rooms were absolutely adorable! Very clean and the beds were just perfect. Some of the cottages are small but for 2 people there shouldn't be any problem. With a front and back porch to sit on with each cottage it made a nice place to get away to read & relax. The girls at the front desk were very professional and always responsive to our needs. The continential breakfast wasn't overwelming but a pleasant addition to the the resort.
The pool is heated and big enough for the guest area. Key Lime Inn is only a block to Duvall Street so you can walk to most restrauants. If you cannot walk to much I would suggest renting bicycles or a golf cart. We will definately stay here again!

this is an amazing place and so close to Duval street. Everything is in walking distance for you to get to. The island is 2 miles by 4 miles so if you love to walk this is a must place to stay since everything is close to get to. The staff here are wonderful and will give you coupons to places to eat and drinks and if you need a cab they call you 1 and the cabs are always early in picking you up and taking you any where. I would recommend this place to everyone. The only thing if you are a big breakfast person go to the Dennys down the street for this is a light breakfast but is very good also. We will be back again to stay here this is a great find.

This was our first time staying in key west and I wouldn't stay anywhere else! The Key Lime Inn was close enough to Duvall St. that you could walk, or rent a bike at the place down the street, but far enough away that there was no noise and you could get a good nights sleep. The room was ready when we arrived, and was everything that we needed for our 5 days there. The breakfast every morning was very basic but, who really needs a heavy breakfast when it's 95 degrees out. We also enjoyed the pool area during a few of our afternoons, it was always clean and peaceful. The front desk staff was also very helpful, and recommended some good restaurants when we couldn't decide what we wanted. Overall, I love staying at this hotel and would not hesitate to sta

We just stayed three nights in one of the small "cottages" located on the property, the room was very clean, well equipped with a small fridge & coffee maker.Didnt know breakfast was included, nice surprise, not elaborate but has bagels, fruit, coffee, juice, pastries.
Great location just a couple blocks off Duval,Tip for first timers to Key West would be to rent bicycles to get around.
Also talk to Alexander at the front desk, gave us some restaurant info and really couldn't have been more helpful,he was polite, well spoken and friendly.
Nice pool area but no hot tub.
Will definatly stay here next time we are in the Keys
