As has been written before, the knowledge and wit of the tour guides make the tour wonderful. They really know their stuff, and you learn about history without even knowing you are learning. I felt like a met President Truman personally after touring the house. The tour was quite short, maybe an hour if that. There were places to sit in the shade before the tour started and while we watched a video during the tour, then again after. Not a lot of walking, but some steep stairs. My only complaint was that they were working on the air conditioning and it was extremely HOT in some parts of the house. That made it authentic, but still uncomfortable in a large group
