“Very enjoyable tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 April 2014

We vacationed in Key West and had the pleasure of taking this tour. Our guide provided much information which helped us to better know President Truman. We especially liked seeing the poker table that was covered when not in use so the public would not know that Truman gambled with his staff. We also learned that the kitchen in the house was small so Truman had his food cooked on a ship anchored off Key West. A very good tour for everyone to take while visiting Key West.

“Good guides make a difference”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 April 2014

Access this delightful attraction by entering the Truman Annex, formerly a naval base, now a real estate development. Our guide was excellent, demonstrating knowledge of his topic with many lively anecdotes. This attraction is a must for the history buffs!

“Felt we learned a lot. Excellent tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 April 2014 via mobile

As far as the house and its contents go, there isn't a lot to see and its a pretty modest interior. What makes this house so interesting however is the history and the character of the man who made this his Key West home for so many years. We knew nothing about Truman before our visit and after only a short tour and film left feeling that we had learned about a very important historical figure. Our tour guide was excellent, she spoke with real passion about the house and its history without preaching or going on for too long. She kept everyone's interest and we were thoroughly impressed with our tour.

“Limited on time, but lovely and historic”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 April 2014

We loved this place, but i will share that you need to spend some time here, AND there is a fee to get in. We were limited on time, and couldn't spend the whole time on a tour, which I am sure was fabulous. Our teenage kids, although troopers, were ready to see some other things in Key West, so we didn't get to spend the time we wanted to here. None-the-less, we learned a lot even from the signage outside, got a peak at the grounds, and toured the grift shop. Any fan of Presidential history will know that this is was used primarily by Truman, but other Presidents have been known to visit and stay there as well. A true historical gem of Key West.

The person conducting the tour was very knowledgeable. They had a very good documentary about president Truman and the Little White House.
