A self guided tour of a variety of relics all relating to Key West History. Also Robert the Doll. The television screen at his exhibit displays letters that have been wrote to him. The museum of course is in an old fort which is not air conditioned. They do have large industrial style fans going to keep it cool as well as keeping all the doors to the inner compound open. You can explore the full fort, including the 2-3 story tower. Parking is plentiful. It is a distance from the main hub of all the action. An easy bike ride or you can use the roadway to scooter there. The main speed along the road if I recall was 20mph. following the scenic beach coast and right in front of the airport Well worth a visit.

This is a true hidden treasure of Key West. The historical aspects are very interesting but the true highlight of any visit is Robert the Doll. Without going into too much background - Robert has led an interesting existence. Be sure to ask his permission before taking a picture.....or there may be consequences! Great displays and a great atmosphere.

Had never heard of this until we were looking at ticket choices. Decided to make it our last stop before the airport (which it is RIGHT next to!) and wish we'd had more time. Fascinating stories you read about on self-guided tour. Liked it much better than Fort Zack.

It's a bit of a spooky experience. the famous paranormal entity, Robert the Doll, shares space with a turn of the century hearse. We took photos and grabbed plenty of orbs over the hearse.

This is one of those places that most don't even know is there, although its right next to the airport its off the beaten path for most tourist. If you are looking for a place rich with history and friendly people this is a great way to spend an hour. There is no AC so be prepared, but I would still visit any time of year. (Don't forget to ask Robbie for permission to take his picture,)
