Owner description: See the best of Key West on the tour that has been entertaining visitors since 1958. Our expert 'engineers' and friendly staff have delighted guests with the legends and tales of Ernest Hemingway, and Tennessee Williams and the stories of the pirates, Indians, wreckers and artists who called this island home. 90 minutes and over 100 points of interest. No Key West vacation is complete without the world famous Conch Tour Train.

Really worthwhile trip. BJ the guide was fantastic. Lots of funny stories and anecdotes. A nice way to see Key West without working up too much of a sweat. :)

We're locals who love taking the train. It revives the feeling of being tourists and seeing Key West for the first time. Plus we always learn something new (or that we've forgotten). The tour guides/conductors are well trained and personable. We've taken the trolley and the bus, but the Conch Train has that authentic Key West feel that you can't get otherwise. Even when we get caught driving behind a train, we tolerate it without complaint. We roll down our windows and try to hear what the guide is saying. This should be the first thing new tourists do so that they get a real feel for the city.

We found this train trip rather dull under the scorching sun. Before our visit to the Keys, we scanned the web for possible attractions And what we could remember, there supposed to be a hop-on hop-off train in Key West, that you could use to reach all interesting spots. But, we might have mixed this up with the other train company ?.

This ride start as the main square and runs forever...without any stops. Yes, you'll see a lot of colorful houses and streets, but you don't have any chance to get off, if you would like. The driver was knowledgeable but never managed to touch us. At the half-way stop (back at the starting station) we got off and left the tour.

I am sorry our tour did not meet your expectations. While the Conch Tour Train does make three stops. However from reading your comments, clearly you would have much preferred the Old Town Trolley.

We do have a 100% money back guarantee, which is located on the customer service page of our website.

We only took the train because the 5 year old in our group, Leo, loves trains. Little did we know this would be one of our favorite parts of our trip to Key West. We have visited the Keys, including Key West, for the past ten years, but this trip was definitely our most enjoyable.
The ticket hostess, Cynthia, took the time to figure out what we would most enjoy and what packages would best suit our needs. We were not planning to go to the aquarium, but went on her recommendation (it was one of Leo's favorite things). Even when I left our tickets at a restaurant, she accommodated us and made it possible for us to continue our tour.
Each of the tour guides offers a different perspective of Key West history, and it is worth traveling with several to hear multiple stories. We traveled with Bob, Frank, and Kenny, and their narrative was interesting enough to make us return to Key West a second day to take advantage of the tour again. It is worth going on the tour just to hear about Kenny's favorite story! Bob made little Leo's day when he allowed him to sit at the front of the train and ring the bell.
We would recommend the Conch Train to anyone who wants a relaxing way to hear about Key West's illustrious and fascinating history, or even to anyone who wants an easy way to traverse the island with a nice breeze! One recommendation: sit towards the front of the train where it is not bumpy. It also makes it easier to hear!
