There are so many good things to say about the Key West B&B - everything about it was above and beyond what we expected.

Location: Its a 10 minute cab ride from the airport. Its close enough to walk to the action, yet in a quiet neighborhood. We used the City View trolley to get to the beaches, and the closest stop is a couple of blocks away. Very easy.

The room: We stayed for 5 nights in the Bates room (it has a private bathroom) on the first floor. We thought being by the front door it might be noisy, but its very quiet. Its nice being so close to the porch. The room was clean, a good size, cool, beds were comfortable, and no problem getting warm water for the shower. The only snag we ran into is there is only one electrical outlet for charging phones and camera batteries (in the bathroom). It took careful planning to coordinate getting everything charged each day. A power strip would solve that problem.

Staff: Lucy, Tricia and Liz were so friendly and helpful. They had great tips for restaurants and other activities. They gave us coupons, made recommendations, booked whatever we needed. They gave us a perspective that only locals can give, and we enjoyed talking to each of them. Our Key West trip was one of our favorites, and they were a huge part of what made it so great.

The Breakfast: Wow. The best part of every day was the breakfast. A huge spread of fresh fruit, a different baked treat every day (banana-coconut bread, pumpkin ooey-gooey bread, lemon cake, butter cake...all delicious), fresh-squeezed orange juice, bagels from the local bakery, coffee. Sitting in the patio surrounded by palm trees and orchids while eating this delicious breakfast was a great way to start every day.

We rented bikes from the B&B, which was super convenient. We also enjoyed the artwork and the colorful collection of kitchenware. Other nice touches included use of towels and hammocks for the beach; postcards with a picture of the house, and being able to leave written postcards for the mail carrier to pick up; a variety of sunscreens available to use; use of the refrigerator for leftover food; a jacuzzi in the back.

We would stay here again and we highly recommend it.

Stayed here for 3 nights and it was a real pleasure. It is an authentic Key west style property with beautiful gardens and a variety of art throughout the building. We mostly dealt with Lizzy who was informative and a real character. Breakfast is healthy (how I like it) with fresh breads and variety of fresh fruit - all the food is exceptional quality. Great location - quiet but a 5 minute walk to Duval Street and all the action. Avoid the big resorts and make sure you book here instead to get a true feel for Key West!

This was a fantastic find for our Key West vacation. Walking distance to everything, this bed & breakfast offered numerous spots for quiet solitude or friendly conversation. The breakfast is superb with a fantastic selection of fruit, fresh squeezed juice and a fresh sweet treat that fills the house with baking smells every afternoon. We stayed in one of the top floor rooms and the privacy was perfect which made the stair climb worth it.

We booked the two big rooms for two couples and were very happy with our choice. The place had wonderful guests and a very helpful staff. The initial introduction to Key West that they provide was way too much information to absorb, but that is my only complaint. Well, one more: No coffee until 8:30. I did not mind breakfast at 8:30, but coffee at 7 a.m. or a K-cup machine in the lobby would have been very nice. Others complained about late coffee as well, so it was not just us (we are not late owls, we are early risers).

But those are little things. The house is old and very nice, great floors and lots of interesting art. We even bought a small piece! Nice courtyard and we kept our beer and wine int he fridge in the kitchen with the other guest's stuff.

If you are going to Key West, I strongly recommend Key West B&B. I don't even like B&Bs that much, but this place was special. If you have more questions on Key West, or the Key West B&B please feel free to email me at vbfrombuffalo@gmail.com.

Room Tip: All the rooms are nice, you just have to decide if you want to pay extra for a private bathroom. We...

This place is just embodies the quintessential quaint conch house B&B. I've spent many years visiting Key West and the KW B&B is in a perfect location, it's quiet and convenient to local hang outs, while still being within an arms length of other spots in Old Town. The staff is FABULOUS...between Liz, Trisha and Lucy, we were spoiled with their hospitality. The decor is eclectic and incredibly stylish. They really made my boyfriend's (first ever!) visit to Key West a delight with their recommendations. They even put up with me working in different areas of the house. Everything about this place is comfortable and I would highly recommend you stay here (if you are lucky enough to nab a room!).

Room Tip: We loved our king poster bed room on the first floor...private and convenient.

The rooms are large, the breakfast excellent with lots of FRESH fruits and wonderful breakfast cakes and fresh-squeezed orange juice and a special blend coffee. The folks behind the desk are willing to go the extra mile to help you find exactly what you are looking for and always have a smile on their face. Plenty of outside nooks and crannies with beautiful flowers to relax PLUS a very relaxing hot tub. And the best of all --- it's a quiet place to stay. It's within walking distance to most of the major attractions.

What a lovely inn for a few nights away from the cold in Washington DC. Jody and her incredibly warm and hospitable staff - Liz, Tricia and Lucy. We were made to feel at home the moment we arrived, given recommendations to not-in-the-guidebook places to eat and enjoy an afternoon. The house is impeccably maintained, located on a charming street of restored 19th c. homes near, but not too near, the hustle and bustle of Duval St. and the harbor. It was extremely convenient - rent bikes right at the inn, walk anywhere in the old town for lunch or dinner, or get picked up for a kayaking tour of the back country. This is a very special place. How soon can we get back?
