It must be hit or miss with room selection. We booked with Hotwire and the hotel was rated 3.5 stars. We rate it 1 star. We checked in late and our room had stained chairs, stained blankets, hairs on the sheets and a barette under one pillow. We moved to the Sothernmost Hotel, which was very nice. Hotwire wanted to move us to the Radisson, which sounded worse. The pool at the Inn is very nice. They need to remodel and hire better maids.

We arrived March 27,2008 -30th for our 26th anniversary and couldn't be more impressed by this hotel. From the moment we walked into the lobby, checking in at the desk, concierge service very helpful, and the room made me feel I was in Key West. I reserved a standard room online, but I think we got a much better room. Bathroom very modern, furnishings very impressive and flat screen tv on the wall. Our room was facing the parking lot.Other reviews were bothered by that , but not us since we only come back late at night to sleep anyway. Didn't hear any noise from the roadside either. Pool area very tropical feeling. We had a car and didn't mind driving into town, but beware of paying for parking at the meter lots til midnite or paying a flat fee at a parking lot. Only negative thing to say was we had to call once to replenish our towels, otherwise we will definitely come again.

  • Liked — cleanliness and tropical feeling
  • Disliked — no towel replenishment

The outdoor pool here has to be the biggest in Key West. Really beautiful and well maintained. Poolside service and bar were just great. Rooms were nice, and would recommend poolside for less road noise. Recommend IHOP next door for breakfast and lunch. Shuttle to Duval St was pricey. 2 to 3 miles to downtown. Would highly recommend, but rates for '08 went thru the roof.

We stayed at the "Inn" over St. Patrick's Day Weekend.

The Inn is really a fluffed up Motel 6. The pictures on their website are extremely miss leading - the photographer did their job very well.

The lobby was nice. The pool looked nice. I never went into the pool because everyone was smoking around the pool and the water was really warm which I did not find ideal in 90 degree weather.

We were booked into a Standard room which overlooked one of the parking lots and had a rooster outside which started crowing at 5am until 8pm. The room had old furniture and the couch was so filthy we wouldn't dream of sitting on it. The bed was old and lumpy. Some of the pillow cases had odd black spots on them. The bathroom is ok but is obviously in need of an update as the tub had stains and the toilet had rust stains.

Housekeeping didn't come during normal hours but stopped by at 5 in the evening and didn't wait for us to open the door but just barged in. They ended up never cleaning our room while we were there. The hotel ran out of towels (how I have no idea since the number of rooms in the hotel doesn't change). The front desk was not very helpful. They hung up on me three times in a row before I could get through to them. The food was ok if you're in a pinch.

I would not recommend staying at the Inn. For what you'll end up paying you can stay closer to downtown in a much, much nicer place. The best part about the whole stay was the rooster.

We stayed two nights at this overpriced hotel! It looks just like a dirty motel with filthy rugs and roaches! The staff was rude and not very helpful! You can stay at lovely B&B in old town that is actually cheaper than this dump! Please stay away!

When I travel, I really prefer to stay in the heart of the action, but Key West hotels have gotten so unbelievably expensive. Since we would have our own car, we decided to try the Inn at Key West on North Roosevelt Blvd. We could not have made a better choice!

The hotel is obviously an older hotel, but the owners have made some incredible upgrades. The king room contains a king bed, a sofa bed, a small refrigerator and microwave and a larger-than-usual bathroom. The decor is absolutely beautiful and the room very clean. Our only complaint was the wake-up call from the roosters that roam the island, but even that was charming.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. The pool and bar area were lush and beautiful, even though we didn't go in the pool (too cold). Also, there is an IHOP right next door for breakfast.

Publix and KMart are nearby and it was a quick drive to Mallory Square and Duval Street.

I would definitely recommend the Inn at Key West!
