Our ladies travel group took a break from NYC, San Francisco & Boston and hit Key West. Rooms were good size & very clean. Delightfully pampered by the beach/pool crew (Mark, Pam, Austin, etc), we got some of our best specifics about things to do/where to go from them. Day 1 Mark met us poolside with chilled aloe lotion and offered up great suggestions...most of which we did do! We loved our stay in Key West!
Things we loved nearby this hotel: Barefoot Billy's jet ski--only tour group that gives riders "free time" in the Gulf (Mike,Joe,Phil--professionals); 3 amazing restaurants--Salute, Louie's Backyard, & El Siboney; the Butterfly museum--good for a rainy day.

My husband and I stayed here for a 4-day weekend without kids. We wanted a place that offered some amenities, was in a great location and was upscale. Casa Marina fit the bill perfectly. The rooms are on the small side, I will say. We had an ocean front room with a lanai - "one of the nicest rooms" according to the reception desk. It was lovely but a bit spartan - let's call it European. Since we were not in the room very often, however, it made no difference to our stay. The food is wonderful for breakfast and lunch - we did not eat dinner there. The amenities are fantastic - daily popsicles, frozen washcloths, cool body sprays (all free) and jet skis, sailing, bikes, etc (separate cost) - all provided by Barefoot Billy's on site. Barefoot Billy's - in particular Matt, Mike and JoJo - absolutely made the trip even more memorable. Very professional and responsive, but still a lot of fun. Thanks, guys!! We will absolutely stay at Casa Marina again! FWIW, I highly recommend renting bikes during your stay - it's an easy and fun way to get around the island.

After reading all the reviews, good & bad, I decided on the Casa Marina. The reviews were pretty much right on. The property is magnificent!!! The pool & beach area were immaculate & the prettiest on the island.

It's a little walk into town but definitely walkable. We walked back & forth every night. The bar prices were higher than on Duval Street but not offensive like some of the reviews said. The food prices were average, comparing apples to apples.

I took the advice of the reviews & booked my room in the original building. Great move! The rooms there have better views, they are sunnier & larger & easy access to all the amenities. My only issue was the bed. It did creak like the reviews said!!!

The bell & front desk staff are fantastic! Never had to go to the concierge because they helped us with everything from suggesting good restaurants to renting a Harley for the day!

You can use the facilities at their sister property. Def worth going to the beach there. Other than that, the Casa Marina's restaurants, bars & pools are nicer.

We spent the 4th of July weekend at Casa Marina, and were in general pleased with the stay. After staying at Waldorfs elsewhere, I was not expecting a small room with tiled floors and a poorly sealed door that allowed the humidity to blow in constantly. I suppose it's a function of the florida weather and hurricane prevention, but I was a little disappointed at the quality of the room compared to the price. Thankfully we did have an ocean view - I would recommend avoiding rooms facing the pools, as they would be very noisy.

The pool area is lovely, however there is little enforcement of the suggestion that the adult relaxation pool is reserved for those without kids. It was 4th of July so there were a lot of families. The grounds are gorgeous, and the drinks and food were very good.

The beach is the largest in Key West....but it is by no means large. Maybe a few hundred yards of rocky beach at best. The staff is very solicitous, however, and we camped out for hours and watched the fireworks from the beach. They came by to take drink orders, or offer cool towels or cucumbers for our eyes.

For the 4th, the general public was allowed on the grounds for a fee after 5pm, and there was a fundraiser event on the grounds that afternoon.

We definitely enjoyed our stay, but I found myself a little disappointed that the rooms did not meet the Waldorf standard (except in price). It is a very nice resort (especially the pool and beach).

This hotel is on the south side of the island; it's much quieter and away from the activity at Mallory Square. It is a bit of a walk to Duval St, which in cooler weather would be no big deal. Cabs are <$10 to Duval or to the marina as well. We enjoyed walking through the neighborhoods to some of the off-the-beaten path restaurants nearby.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms overlooking the pool - very noisy.

We have stayed here 3 times and have enjoyed it every time. The staff is amazing and very helpful and want northing more than you to enjoy your stay. The beach is great and with on site activities. The location is great close to Duvall St. The restaurant has excellent food. The open bar is great you can sit and look at the ocean. They have two pools and one pool is an adult only pool. The rooms are spacious and very clean.
