Casa Marina Key West, A Waldorf Astoria Resort

We stayed at the Casa Marina for six nights. We truly enjoyed our stay and would return. The staff always went above and beyond to help us. Patrick at the front desk was wonderful; full of charm and helpful advice. Kenneth provided prompt and courteous assistance at the pool; without him we would have been without lounge chairs! :). Tanyo at the concierge desk helped us with all of the reservations and even helped us to negotiated a package deal for excursions! The Casa Marina has a WONDERFUL staff. I was not overly impressed with our room; it was a bit small, austere, and mostly clean but we had an ocean view that was wonderful. The resort property is very clean, well kept and peaceful. The adult only pool is the a great idea. I prefer to stay at adult only properties but because of the separate pools this was the next best thing. The pool area is very nice and that is where we spent our time. Honestly, the beach area is not that great and the smell of seaweed was strong during our stay - but this is due to being in Key West and is not a knock against the resort. We had a couples massage on the beach and the Spa staff was great. Unfortunately the resort was doing maintenance on the palm trees during our massage so we heard the sound of machinery for 30 minutes instead of the sound of the waves. We spoke to the manager on duty who was very understanding of our disappointment and provided a fair credit on the massage. If you go you have to spend time in a hammock on the beach between the palm trees; amazing! The resort has a daily resort fee which is nice and combines all the separate resort fees in to one. However I did get tired of having to tip everyone separately, it would be nice if they would just add a daily tip to the resort fee like some other resorts. Overall we truly enjoyed our staff; were we ever to return to Key West we would stay at the Casa Marina.

Wouldn't recommend. Have stayed in much nicer hotels, for considerably less money. beach not great, very rocky you have to be up early if you want a sun bed near the pool. Only stand up showers in bathroom. Some staff nice others not so much

The service at this property is outstanding... We had a issue with one of the services and the hotel refunded out money with no questions. The only complaint would be that our room needed to be colder, during the day it was still a little warm. Go visit if you have the time.

Great hotel with fantastic service, not necessarily known for great beaches. Staff was extraordinary and helped is with everything, especially Daniel, who worked at the beach. Large range of water sports that you have access to in front of the hotel. Good food, very gourmet cuisine. Overall great place for couples, not te best for families with children

First of all - Resort, location and service were nothing short of championship. Pool and Beach staff could not have delivered more - and I am high maintenance - especially with technology needs. Daniel was the best of the best as he read my mind and delivered on my needs/wants.

Rooms: I asked for an upgrade which they did not have - nice room - oceanfront - but could have been larger.

Ocean: Very challenging to walk into and enjoy ocean water - in fact, I didn't do it - too many rocks and fish.

Barefoot Billy's for all waterspouts are rockstar. We did parsailing and wave runner tour - second to none.

We also rented a jeep - top down - cursing great dinners and Duvall every night - (Concierge Jay is an ACE). Jeep is the only way to go and Carlos is an absolute rock star.

Scratch the couple improvements mentioned about and trip was perfect - including sun.

Go!!!

Room Tip: We did two doubles as I have a 21/17 year old - I would have gone with suite -

We spent the July 4th weekend at Casa Marina and had a very enjoyable stay. We were in a suite, large room, quiet, comfortable beds - unfortunately we didn't get a room with a view, but enjoyed the room none-the-less.

Staff couldn't have been friendlier from the pool staff, concierge, bell hops, etc.

Beautiful location, even if there were no chairs left around the pool, the staff would manage to find you some. Breakfast buffet was average, drinks were good - not a complaint to be had!

We booked the 1bdr king with a lanai. The view was amazing, however, the room was small, the chairs on the lanai were stained and gross, the bathroom only had a standup shower and single sink. Overall, the room was below standards. We immediately contacted the manger who showed us to another room. It was a 1bdr suite on the other side of the property, again the room appeared to be dirty, the lanai was so small and the room was hot even with the a/c turned downed to 70. We contacted the manager again and told him we would like to cancel our stay and would book elsewhere on the island.
