“Not worth the money !!!”

Location is really fine but the room we got was definitely not as expected. The paid for "sea wiev" was virtually not excisting and the reception staff was not engaged at all - "Waldorf standard" I do not know sine this was my first (and perhaps last) visit ? . We did not have breakfast at the hotel as there where no staff on duty and the buffet was low on almost everything. So we will defenitely not go back !!

Lovely hotel, beautiful lobby, bar, restaurant, pool and fantastic pier that will remain etched in your memory. Rooms are fantastic too. The layout of the rooms is very strange with a number of corridors at angles outside. Car parking underneath and on 1st floor at 20 US a day self parking is expensive, valet parking at 30 US a day extortionate.
Had great food and were well looked after. Staff were efficient and good to deal with, always helpful.
Felt really well looked after.
Stayed only 3 nights, could have stayed a week easily in Key West. If you don't know your way round Key West its a quick and easy walk to the main sights at the other end of Duval Street and the harbour from the hotel so worth staying this side of town for some peace. I loved this hotel and would return again - we also visited the sister hotel next door another Waldorf Astoria and could get drinks etc added to the hotel bill. The beach bar next door was also lovely with great staff - the interiors also looked impressive. I'd say worth a stay either place. If its a bit pricey then stay but eat outside - there's an enormous range of food and drink places very close. We ate at small breakfast places close by - one a credible French cafe....
Final tip - ensure you have your camera ready for those beautiful sunsets and the wooden pier which make for fantastic holiday shots to remember.

Room Tip: Overlooking the pool/beach

This property is perfect to all who enjoy a quite peaceful environment with a party lurking a few blocks away. Surrounded by some of the best restaurants in Florida, they are hidden so talk to the concierge.

Stayed at sister resort Casa Marina last year & we should've this time! Hampton Inn lobby & front desk are nicer than this place! We are hiltonhonors diamond members & used 80,000 points for one night stay or it would've cost $450. The hotel is open air so you step off elevator & heat hits you in the face and while your dragging your luggage to your room. We had a large king room on the 4th floor with balcony & partial ocean view. The room was outdated and had stained carpet, couch & curtains. The bathroom was updated but the shower rod fell it had been glued to the wall. The pool is smallest I've ever seen at a Waldorf and very few chairs. We sat at the beach but your packed next to others hard to relax when you can hear others conversations. Stay at the Casa Marina it's only couple blocks away.

Family spring break - had a great time. The private beach is awesome and the pool is perfect for kids and grown ups alike (maybe better for kids, since there's no "adult only" option... But you can always go to the Casa Monica's adult only pool if you want). Food and drinks are a bit pricey ($15/drink - includes tax and an already added 18%gratuity). Service was phenomenal though... Concierge, front desk, pool side, and cabana personnel all awesome and helpful... Much appreciated by a mother of two boys (8 & 6). Overall very pleased.

Oh and did anyone mention Nespresso coffee machines in the room??? Heaven!

The location of the hotel of the is excellent. The property is kept up ok. The beach is poorly maintained, there is more sea weed than sand. The parking garage has broken lounge chairs and other junk. Some stored in handicapped spaces.
The day front desk staff and manager are horrible. They made a huge mess with our debit card and even tried to double charge us. They lost the authorization they obtained at check in. I tried to fix this the day prior to checkout with a manager named Cindy. This lady is beyond rude and disrespectful. If she treats guests like she treated me, I would hate to see how she treats the staff. Since she refused to understand the issue with the card, checkout the next day was almost a two hour process with the front desk and my bank on the phone. My bank thought they were pretty incompetent as well. While this was going on, the "manager" Cindy came to the front desk. She loudly told us to "step aside" so she could take care of the people waiting to check in. Very embarrassing.
We originally thought we were going to be in Key West for two nights, but something came up and needed to stay two more nights. It was not going to be at The Reach for sure. We went to nearby hotels to check availability, turns out The Reach has quite a reputation for their rudeness with other hotels as well.

My daughter booked a mini vacation at the Reach....The hotel was clean and bright and the grounds were awesome... They upgraded our room and we had a great view of the beach and pool... I loved being waited on by the attentive hotel staff. The only downside was not enough wait staff for pool and beach service...I loved that we could walk most places and that part of town was quiet. The food was great and the staff greeted you with a smile...We would go back again...A bar near the pool and beach would be a great asset...
