The location of the Reach was perfect for us! Close enough to walk to Duval Street but far enough to not be disturbed by the nightlife of Duval. We stayed six nighst and felt that the price was fair for what we received.

We loved the attention that we received from the beach/pool staff! Josh and Kris did a great job of setting up our chairs and umbrella. Plus they come around every so often to give you cooled cucumber slices for your eyes, small frozen towels to cool off with, cleaned our sunglasses and offered a quick "misting", again to cool you off. All of these services were a very nice touch. They also offer food/beverage service while on the beach. All of the servers we had were good but PATRICIA really stood out from everyone else. What an asset to your resort! She was quick on her service while being professional and personable all rolled into one. We really appreciated the extra attention that she gave to us!

Everything that we ate was awesome! We had dinner three nights at the Strip House. The steaks and lobster were great! Every morning we ordered coffee from room service and it was delivered within 15 minutes. They do have a breakfast buffet that we weren't aware of until the last morning. It was o.k. the service wasn't. (Except for the omelette maker, he was quick to make the omelette and friendly.) We definitely had quite a few "adult beverages" while we were there. The rum runners were to die for and will get you "there" a little too quick. Also, they have a different lunch special everyday. We tried a turkey club sandwich and barbeque brisket sandwich from the lunch menu. Both were great! They even made us a special cheese/fruit tray that we had with a bottle of wine on the beach. Again, the food and food service was excellent.

We stayed in room 310 king studio with ocean view. We liked the room. It was the perfect size for two people. The set-up with the sofa bed would be too crowded to use. If it was pulled out you would not be able to get to the bathroom from the master bed. The view was great, the bed was very comfortable. I liked the set-up of the bathroom. (Toilet and two showers behind one door) Vanity area was open. Lots of storage space. This room does overlook the 2nd floor area where they have wedding receptions. On arrival we were told that there would be receptions on Saturday and Sunday night but that the DJ, or band, would have to stop at 11:00 p.m. This wasn't a problem for us since we were up almost that late every night AND we travel with a small box fan to use for white noise. It really works! If I had small children with me it would have been a big problem.

The beach was probably our biggest disappointment. The sand was beautiful but the water was full of seaweed. The beach had seaweed two feet deep and you had to walk in about 8 feet of it to get to the water. Some mornings it was cleared by heavy equipment. We didn't want to walk through this but plenty of other people thought nothing of it.

The resort itself is clean and I liked the furnishings.

If we return to Key West we would stay here! It would be well worth the return!

No towels available at pool/beach ..they ran out?
Needed directions ..staff was more interested in their pizza delivery ...
View from the room was a rusty boiler
Nothing exclusive about this property. The "beach" was a laughable strip of land on which half we were unable to use do to a wedding that would occur later & pictures would be taken on that side - the other side was full of guests & they were unable to set up more chairs because they only space left was reserved for the watercrafts not being used!
What exactly was my resort fee covering???? No pool towels..no beach seating available???? Service that was seriously lacking at best. This property in no way, shape,or form is a Waldorf. Stay elsewhere . You've been warned

Nice hotel but compared to the price it is a bit disappointing. I would probably choose another hotel when I go back to Key West. The Hotel is pretty standard in every department even though the price level in general is high so we expected a bit more than we actually got.

This hotel is in the perfect location. Walking distance to Duval Street and many tourist points of interest such as the Southernmost Point and Hemingway House. Our stay, however, was less than satisfactory for the price of the hotel and the attitude of the concierge. Upon checking in, we were greeted with disdain. Usually checking in is a really quick and friendly process, but here the concierge was very rude and uppity, as well as questioning our one night stay, which was uncalled for. Luckily we were only staying a single night because we found equally appealing nearby accommodations for a much better price. The property is beautiful, though it was expected for a Waldorf Astoria associated hotel. The rooms have spacious balconies overlooking a pretty terrace with an ocean-facing pool and a human-sized chess board. The grounds are pretty peaceful at night, though our room was overlooking the chess board, which was a hotbed of activity overnight as it was dismantled by rowdy teens. Otherwise, we had a nice quick stay. Only other compliant is how long the room's AC unit took to cool it down - we initially thought it wasn't working properly, and as you can imagine, AC is important during summer in Key West. Beware of additional parking fees: $20 self-park/$30 valet.

Room Tip: The layout of the hotel is mildly confusing traveling from the parking garage, however, walking thro...

This has it all, location, luxury, yet laid-back and relaxing without feeling "out of place". Rooms are spacious, outside area is gorgeous. You can use two resorts (Casa Marina) which is one block away. Convenient to Duval as well as the action on the bayside. Rent bikes to get around, don't bother with a car rental.

We checked in for an overnight stay. Reservations said it was the most beautiful natural beach. Failed to disclose that July is kelp month and the beach is buried in four feet deep seaweed with a nauseating stench. Couldn't use the pool because limited amount of chairs. Had to park the car 1/2 mile away and still pay separate parking fee. Was charged 25 for use of pool and beach because it wasn't included in the 259 for the night. The temp of the pool was 95 degrees and felt like slime water. We had to walk to another resort to swim. The room was mediocre. Dusty, rust on the fridge, ceiling stains from leaks really not what I expected for a four star resort. More like a red roof inn.

We appreciate your feedback in regards to your recent stay at The Reach Resort. We review and utilize the feedback provided by all of our guests to improve the quality of the services we provide. We love our calm Key West waters, and to be part of the third largest coral reef system in the world, which offers so much beauty and serenity. My husband and I recently stayed here for our honeymoon in June 2014. We were upgraded at check-in to a beautiful ocean-view suite, and champagne and chocolates were awaiting our arrival. The staff was great, especially the front desk agents; super friendly and genuinely nice.
The Strip House restaurant was delish. Jill, our server, was outstanding.

The Reach was truly a perfect honeymoon spot, thank you for a wonderful stay!
