We stayed two nights in a room with two double beds. Nicely updated rooms that were very clean. Ours had a little fridge to keep food, wine etc. My wife commented on how great the sheets were. Quaint pool and sitting area. Quiet despite being on a busy street. Close to most everything you need.
Price was a bit too high. Would not spend that much again during August.

Just returned from 3 nights at the Almond Tree Inn -- was supposed to be two nights but the kids loved it and opted to stay for an extra night in Key West as opposed to heading back to Miami. Location is perfect, staff is wonderful and rooms are immaculate. Rooms are modern and well put together, they actually have the feel of a suite. Free breakfast was typical cold fare but coffee was quite good. Pool always clean. I came to key west with the kids and nothing planned and within an hour Shea had me booked for Snorkeling with Fury and an afternoon fishing charter with Captain Dan at Almost There Sportsfishing -- both excursions were very good and I would highly recommend them. I would stay at the Almond Tree again but I was there on a weekend and if I was there during the week the WiFi would have been an issue. It was spotty at best and was on and off all day and night over my entire stay. If I had to carve out some time to work, it would have been a big problem. is it the Keys? I had the same issue in Key Largo. Drove kids nuts, but even they understand WiFi is not that important on a vacation.

Another pleasant stay at the Almond Tree Inn! Beautiful hotel with a quiet pool and a great location!
The staff is friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed socializing with the other guests at the free breakfast and the daily happy hour. If you are a picky eater the breakfast may not be for you but we found that we could enjoy a nice breakfast of yogurt, granola and fruit. There were also many great looking pastries, bagels, cereals etc. I loved not having to "go out " to breakfast everyday and having a Keurig coffee maker in the room! We love to stay here because it is so close to Duval St and we can walk or bike to most everything. We will be back!

If you're looking for a clean, comfortable and modern stay in Key West, this is definitely the place. Fiancé and I came to Key West for a quick getaway for her birthday. The room was modern and very clean (and the AC was always a welcome respite after wandering in the August sun; even though this is nominally considered a guest house, it had all of the appearances and amenities of a hotel. Apparently there was some recent renovation and it shows and was very welcome.

The "courtyard" is small but has a cute koi pond, pool and bar/dining area. We were greeted very warmly at reception and got recommendations on places to try. Happy hour from 5-7 included complimentary beer/wine and some fun snacks. Breakfast included lots of fresh pastries, coffee, juice, fruit, etc. Definitely more than satisfied on that end.

The location is excellent - literally right off of Duval Street and a close walk to all the major bars and nightlife, though not so much that you can't relax (plus a CVS right next door to recover the next morning). Also walking distance to all of the major tourist attractions such as the Hemingway house, Southernmost point, etc. A small parking lot in the back can be used for about $10/day (and they had no problem with us leaving the car while we explored a bit longer after checkout).

While it may be a bit pricy as some have said, it is worth it considering the quality and location. We'll definitely be back.

Great boutique hotel with charming ambiance and tasteful/clean rooms. Just a block from downtown Key West attractions, shopping, restaurants. Rooms are clean, quiet and beds are comfortable. Prices are reasonable off-season or shoulder season but rise during Christmas weeks.

Room Tip: Although the pool area is not that busy/loud, if you desire more quiet ask for a room near the end o...

Stayed at Almond Tree Inn at key west for 3 nights with our 2 teenage children and what a lovely Inn / hotel and wish we had stayed for longer.

The room was perfect and one of the nicest hotels rooms we have stayed at (the hotel we stayed at before this was the 5* Conrad New York and must say the Almond Tree Inn was better). There are only 20 rooms and it feels more like a Caribbean hotel. The breakfast was lovely and varied every day and between 5 to 7pm they have a small bar with some snacks provided which was a really nice touch.

The hotel is located on the corner of Truman and Duval street (Duval being the Main Street in key west) so perfectly located and we did not need to use the car at all

Located just off lower Duval it is situated well and is surprisingly quiet. The grounds are well kept and clean. Staff was very friendly. We opted for an upstairs double queen. The room was very well appointed and clean, with a nice wet bar with Kuerig coffee maker and mini fridge. The AC cooled the room well, however it never got over 85* during our stay. If anyone has problems walking then this motel will require a car, pedicab, or taxi to get to the heart of downtown. This cost us maybe an additional $100 in pedicab fees. My main reasons for a 3 star rating are price, breakfast options, and smoking policy. This is maybe a $189 property, but over $300 with taxes and parking fees, it's overpriced in my opinion. Breakfast is ALL carbohydrates and sugar, except for hard boiled eggs and yogurt. The biggest disappointment was cigarette smoke everywhere except in the room. If you look at previously posted photos you'll see ashtrays on the veranda and by the pool, and they were in use for our entire stay. We stayed upstairs in the semi-closed veranda rooms which were nice except for the other guests sitting directly outside our room smoking morning, noon and night on the veranda that does not empty well of the smoke. Additionally the pool is much smaller than it appears in photos, so someone smoking across the pool fills the whole area with smoke. Not what we expected. We're so accustomed to modern non-smoking policies at hotels this was surprising to see. If you're a smoker, this property is for you, if not you may not want to risk ruining your stay in KW. Sorry Almond Tree, it might be time to step into the 21st century, acknowledging the dangers of second hand smoke, and change your policy.
