Found this place on Tripadvisor and got a friend to check out the location which she said was great so booked for 3 nights and weren't disappointed. We hired bikes from across the street as recommended by reception and had a great time biking around and exploring. The hotel was a great base, located just off the quieter end of Duval Street and near to bars and restaurants but still quiet enough to sit and enjoy a drink of an evening. The family rooms were well-appointed with 2 huge comfortable beds and there was a lovely little pool which we enjoyed taking a dip in after a day out sightseeing. The complimentary breakfast was very tasty and we wished we could have stayed longer, we'll definitely stay here next time we visit Key West.

Room Tip: Family rooms overlooking the pool are ideal

As others have stated the rooms are very clean. Though small they are arranged so well that you don't feel crowded. The happy hour from 5:00 to 7:00 is very nice as well with snacks to go along with the drinks. The breakfast is fine as well with typical continental items like bagels, cream cheese, cereal, fruit, etc. It is very quiet there but so close to all the action in downtown Key West. The staff is exceptional in all regards. Places to stay in Key West are more expensive than other places but this one makes you feel special. We parked our car when we arrived and never got back in it until time to leave since we were so close to everything that we could walk to everything. The WiFi was strong as well.

From arrival to departure the staff is top notch the rooms are excellent modern and very clean there attention to detail shows in everything they do I would definitely come back again and would recommend to anyone I know . Location is perfect half a block from Duval st. And walking distance from everything .

We stayed two nights in a room with two double beds. Nicely updated rooms that were very clean. Ours had a little fridge to keep food, wine etc. My wife commented on how great the sheets were. Quaint pool and sitting area. Quiet despite being on a busy street. Close to most everything you need.
Price was a bit too high. Would not spend that much again during August.

Just returned from 3 nights at the Almond Tree Inn -- was supposed to be two nights but the kids loved it and opted to stay for an extra night in Key West as opposed to heading back to Miami. Location is perfect, staff is wonderful and rooms are immaculate. Rooms are modern and well put together, they actually have the feel of a suite. Free breakfast was typical cold fare but coffee was quite good. Pool always clean. I came to key west with the kids and nothing planned and within an hour Shea had me booked for Snorkeling with Fury and an afternoon fishing charter with Captain Dan at Almost There Sportsfishing -- both excursions were very good and I would highly recommend them. I would stay at the Almond Tree again but I was there on a weekend and if I was there during the week the WiFi would have been an issue. It was spotty at best and was on and off all day and night over my entire stay. If I had to carve out some time to work, it would have been a big problem. is it the Keys? I had the same issue in Key Largo. Drove kids nuts, but even they understand WiFi is not that important on a vacation.

Another pleasant stay at the Almond Tree Inn! Beautiful hotel with a quiet pool and a great location!
The staff is friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed socializing with the other guests at the free breakfast and the daily happy hour. If you are a picky eater the breakfast may not be for you but we found that we could enjoy a nice breakfast of yogurt, granola and fruit. There were also many great looking pastries, bagels, cereals etc. I loved not having to "go out " to breakfast everyday and having a Keurig coffee maker in the room! We love to stay here because it is so close to Duval St and we can walk or bike to most everything. We will be back!

If you're looking for a clean, comfortable and modern stay in Key West, this is definitely the place. Fiancé and I came to Key West for a quick getaway for her birthday. The room was modern and very clean (and the AC was always a welcome respite after wandering in the August sun; even though this is nominally considered a guest house, it had all of the appearances and amenities of a hotel. Apparently there was some recent renovation and it shows and was very welcome.

The "courtyard" is small but has a cute koi pond, pool and bar/dining area. We were greeted very warmly at reception and got recommendations on places to try. Happy hour from 5-7 included complimentary beer/wine and some fun snacks. Breakfast included lots of fresh pastries, coffee, juice, fruit, etc. Definitely more than satisfied on that end.

The location is excellent - literally right off of Duval Street and a close walk to all the major bars and nightlife, though not so much that you can't relax (plus a CVS right next door to recover the next morning). Also walking distance to all of the major tourist attractions such as the Hemingway house, Southernmost point, etc. A small parking lot in the back can be used for about $10/day (and they had no problem with us leaving the car while we explored a bit longer after checkout).

While it may be a bit pricy as some have said, it is worth it considering the quality and location. We'll definitely be back.
