“Charming small hotel with very friendly staff, beautiful grounds”
Reviewed 25 August 2010

We recently stayed at the Almond Tree Inn and were pleasantly surprised. It is a small hotel one block from the quietier end of Duval Street. The room was beautifully decorated, bathroom clean and modern. Very pretty grounds. Parking on site for $7.00, which is essential in Key West. There is a happy hour with free beer, wine and snacks in the afternoon and free continental breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definately recommend this hotel.

Our stay at the Almond Tree Inn was delightful. The staff was helpful and friendly, the rooms clean and tastefully decorated. The continental breakfast included in the morning was much more than we expected, not only did it include pastry and coffee but also fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels and muffins. The afternoon coctail hour (actually 2 hours) was also more that we expected. Everyone we talked to was equally impressed. The location was also convenient, close to Duval Street. We would stay there again and have already recommended it to friends.

Stayed recently for two nights with my husband and we wish it could have been longer. You truly feel like you are at an inn. The staff is there to help you with anything you need. The happy hour is excellent with a good selection of wine, beer, soda, and munchies. The breakfast is equally good. There is a very good variety. I cannot say enough though about the wonderful staff. They were friendly and attended to every detail. The pool is clean and the landscaping around it makes you feel like you are on your own little tropical island. The location is perfect and it is an easy walk to anywhere you want to go. Although we did take a taxi once because it was so hot. Bruce at the front desk called for us and it was there in minutes. The rooms are decorated beautifully. There is only a standup shower but that didn't bother us. It can get a little noisy at night if people are out talking by the pool so try to get a room furthest from the pool. We loved Key West and the Almond Tree!

Excellent location, just off of the quiet end of Duval Street. Very modern and pleasant throughout with good air conditioning.

Some nice touches, 2 hour happy hour complimentary drinks are served every evening which is a good opportunity to catch up with other guests.

If ever you need to get away for just 3 or 4 days, Key West is the ideal location. The Almond Tree Inn is a great place. It is a small property just off Duval St. and a short walk to the center of the action. Bill, the owner, is a "hands-on" manager, and he has chosen his employees well--they could give lessons on customer service. They offer a small but adequate breakfast, and the evening cocktail hour is a great start to the evening. We had the opportunity to meet and become friends with a number of fellow guests. I have stayed at a lot of large hotels and resorts, and they have their place, but as hard as they try they are not as personable as a well-run small hotel or B & B.

I can't say enough about the Almond Tree Inn. The location is perfect for walking to Bars or to the Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square. Its pretty much smack in the middle of Old Town Key West. The staff is incredibly helpful and eager to help. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. The free happy hour and breakfast is just an added bonus! Its a little expensive for the amenities (just a small pool), but for a short getaway to Key West this place is great.

After reading ALL and EVERY review on B&B's in Key West, I chose the Almond Tree. I have always stayed at my favorite "Ocean Key Resort" on my trips to Key West, but money was tight this year and decided to try something different and less expensive. I was surprisingly delighted to see how fabulous and incredibly clean our room was. We stayed in an upgraded room on ground level, which was actually a beautiful suite right in front of the pool. The rooms are remodeled and the bathroom, linens and furniture were incredibly more beautiful then I ever imagined. This was my first time at a B&B and for experiencing such an intimate and peaceful atmosphere and I truly enjoyed it. There's a nice happy hour for two hours every night and the free breakfast buffet of bagels and danish was very nice as well. The pool is open 24 hours and all they ask is that you keep the noise down, which is only fair to the other guests. The location is quite a walk from the Sloppy Joe's side of town, and it's centrally located and one block from Duval St.. There is a 24 hour CVS and Denny's within a block of the hotel and I liked that. All in all... as long as the service, quality and price remain the same, I will def stay at the Almond Tree again. Can't wait to go back again! P.S. Ask to stay in a room closest to the pool. It may be noisier if there happens to be loud guests, but it's much more beautiful.
