“A great place for a quieter stay”
Reviewed 7 March 2012

So when traveling to Key West I always try and stay off Duval because to enjoy the island atmosphere, one needs to relax away from the hustle and bustle. I find myself down there every night, but during the day one needs a nice beach. That is where this resort starts. A private beach, something quite rare on Key West. The Beach goes right into the pool area, which is again very relaxing. Ask for buildings A or F, but do not be disappointed with the others(we stayed in B12 and B23). Also ask for the third level, as the view is better. I traveled with my in-laws and we had two couple and two singles in the party. We ended up getting two units and each couple had the suite, while each single stayed in the guest queen room. The room isn't huge, but are adequate. The kitchens worked well for breakfasts, lunches, and one dinner. The most underrated part of the place is the screened in porch. I don't know if either party actually closed the patio doors at night, because you didn't worry about critters. The master suite is huge, nice whirlpool and shower. This is my second time to Key West and the next time I come, I plan on returning. I would highly recommend this place. Message me if you have any further questions.

Room Tip: Asked for Building A or F, also ask for the 3rd floor. The lush vegetation in the courtyard can at t...

The Beach House Resort is a well designed property. The buildings and landscaping provide a quiet area by the pool and faux beach. On days when it is too windy to enjoy being out on the water or at a beach, this is the perfect place to hang out. You need a hangout away from the crowds that pour into Key West when the cruise ships dock. When staying in Key West, it is a good idea to check the cruise ship schedule and plan your time in town accordingly.

This resort is on the main road when you first reach Key West. The intersection is busy at times. You occasionally hear planes taking off from the airport, emergency vehicles passing by and dogs barking at the shelter near by.

The units are very spacious. They have well equipped kitchens and also include washers and dryers. There is no restaurant at this location, the Tiki bar by the pool closes around 6PM. You can walk next door to the Marriott for a restaurant and bar.

This is a timeshare resort. You can book a stay the same as any hotel. You do not get the daily housekeeping you get at a hotel. We found a great deal buying a partial week from a seller that had to change plans at the last minute.

I found parking a little tricky, it is a little tight. That made it even more attractive to use the $5.00 shuttle service to go into town. Also a good idea to use it if you are planning on enjoying the bar scene.

This was a great 2 bedroom with a pool view. It was almost in Stock Island, so it was away from a lot of the action. That's what I was looking for with my wife and 2 young childrem

The suite of rooms we had were awesome. We had 5 women and had plenty of space to spread out and relax. The downside that I would mention is we had no visit from house keeping and had to wash our own towels. The concierge never seemed to be there. We went down a couple of nights to ask about places for dinner and he was always gone.

We like this quiet end of town. Suites are very nice and the screened porches are so relaxing. One wonderful find this trip was Mike the bartender at the Hotel Tiki bar by the pool. He is not your usual bartender. He's very well versed on the Key West area and has great restaurant suggestions...he will even make your reservations. He is a master mixologist! Try his signature Sangria or Bloody Mary's.

Spent the weekend here with two friends, had a wonderful experience. The property is beautiful and beyond relaxing. It is quiet and peaceful so a nice getaway from the craziness of the island! Hotel offers a shuttle to Key west proper for $5 per person. Takes about 10-15 minutes depending on traffice.

The tiki hut was our daily "Cheers". Jim was our bartender and he went above and beyond in his service to ensure we had a great time. Made our dinner recommendations and reservations, handled our boat rental and made us remarkable, and different, mojitos every day!

Overall great experience and would stay again.

Room Tip: The rooms are like apartments so ask for the top floor to avoid the noise above you in the early mor...
