I was very pleasantly surprised with the level of cleanliness and the beautiful comfortable bed in my room. I needed a refrigerator and thus was organized very promptly.
Really we'll run hotel, and very friendly and professional front desk staff.

The one-bedroom suite is spectacular - a converted condo that spans the width of the building with a balcony, Gulf of Mexico view and full kitchen. Full continental breakfast, which we ate on our balcony each morning.

The standard room, however, is a glorified closet. We were accidentally given a standard room on check in, and had to correct the misunderstanding with the front desk. Standard rooms consist of a full bed which takes up the majority of the room, with no window. If you're OK with sleeping in a postage stamp this may not be an issue, but otherwise spend the extra $50 and upgrade to a suite.

Room Tip: Book a suite! Only $50 extra and well worth it.

After reading some of the reviews we were sceptical but decided to stay. We are glad we did. The 1 br suite was great, with a large balcony, 2 flat screen TV's and new mattresses through out the hotel. A little far from town but the trolley shuttle stops at the first hotel to the west. Road construction was going on (as it has for two years). We didn't rent a car and with the hassle of parking in old town, we're glad we didn't. The only problem was getting hot water, the first night. When we asked at the front desk, they advised us that turn towards cold for hot water and hot for cold water. It was really quiet at night time. During the day the road construction was noisy, but was not audible inside the room. The cleaning staff did an awesome job at keeping our room cleaned. The fron desk akways offered to call us a cab if we needed it. They also made sure we had extra coffee in our room.

I was a little worried about this hotel, but since it was the nicest of what I considered cheap I went with it and I have to say I was happily surprised. The room was on the smaller side. Everything was clean, except for the rug which made our feet/socks a little dirty. Most things in the room were newer (like the 30?40? inch TV) or in good condition. The bathroom vanity was older and the door was hanging a little. Parking was free and there were plenty of spots. Towels at front desk for pool and beach. Complimentary breakfast was decent (cereal, bagels, muffins, waffles, yogurt, hardboiled eggs and more). I thought the pool also looked nicer than in pictures. It was larger than it looked in pictures and had lots of pretty vegetation around it. Whenever I went it was clean, not crowded and there were plenty of lounge chairs and tables. Wifi was free and great except for one day they were having issues. When I visited there was major construction on the street in front of the hotel. It did not make our stay noisy, but it was a little difficult to cross the street/pull into the hotel. The hotel has a couple of restaurants within walking distance and a nice, long sidewalk across the street to stroll/jog/ride bikes on. We rented a car and thought it was necessary because the downtown area is a 10 minute drive. Key west was very expensive in general, but I was happily surprised with this cheap hotel.

We took other reviewers advice and we did upgrade to a suite for only $50/night more. Well worth it. Beautiful, very clean, balcony facing the gulf. I would definately stay there again. It is a little far from Duval street, but we took a cab and rented a scooter, it was just a nice drive. A lot cheaper and quieter than staying downtown. The front desk took care of calling a cab for us, and the scooter company. The scooter was then delivered right to the door and that's where we were asked to drop it off as well. Very good service.

Room Tip: The suites have balconys. Well worth the extra $$ for the upgrade.

Staying in Key West can be hard on the budget so this was a reasonably priced hotel. The room was okay but front desk help was unhelpful and didn't seem to care when we asked about the hot tub not working. The continental breakfast was very limited and poor in quality.

First of all, hotels in Key West are not cheap, specially on high season. Even a roach motel will cost you and if you want to stay near Duval St. Power to you, pull your wallet. We stayed on the 3 bedroom suite and it was awesome, it had 2 rooms upstairs with a master downstairs, a huge kitchen and we had the breathtaking ocean view. The rooms are not new, but they are very clean and thats what i care about. We had a full kitchen and a washer and dryer, enough to make us happy. the staff was very friendly, when we checked in i ask for a roll away bed and it did not take long. I ask for extra blankets at night and never got them, but not a big deal. With the deal i got I'm sure they don't keep much staff at night. I am not sure who goes to Key West to stay in the hotel because the fun its in the island.
