“Clean, quaint, historic, close to Duval but quiet!”
Reviewed 5 December 2013

So glad we chose Angelina's Guest House for our stay in Key West. What a cool place - very well run by very competent and helpful hosts. This place really has all you need - even towels to take to the beach. We stayed out late on Duval Street almost every night, and we were so happy to come back to our quiet room and comfortable bed. I think the mattresses must be new, as ours was extremely comfortable.

Roosters will wake you up in the morning (as they will everywhere on the island), so bring ear plugs if you need to. But the wonderful coffee, homemade cinnamon rolls, and other items like bagels and fruit will put you in the right mood for the day.

We drove down from the mainland, then turned in our rental car and rented bikes for the week. Definitely did not need the car, parking is a premium everywhere, and the bikes were fun! We went everywhere we wanted to, and saw so much more than if we'd been in a car.

If you are looking for a large, grand, plush, resort-type spot with a great view of the ocean, this is not the place. If you are looking for a clean, friendly, historic bed and breakfast in "Old Town," with lots of character and everything you really need, this is definitely your place.

What a little gem! As it used to be a bordello, the bedrooms are very compact, but the decor is delightful, and the staff are very helpful. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the world and it's wife pass by. The breakfasts are great and include fresh exotic fruit, yogurts, cereals, bagels etc. the garden and pool were lovely. On top of all that, it's only 2 blocks from Duval Street, a ten minute walk from Mallory Square and Sunset Pier, and a very short walk to Hemingway's House. It's on the edge of Bahama Village in the heart of the historic district. There is local free parking, and I would recommend parking your car on arrival, and walking everywhere. Considering how close it is to Duval, it's remarkably quiet at night

We only live 30 miles away, but wanted a little getaway for our 10th anniversary. Angelina's was the PERFECT, romantic choice. Have always wanted to stay where we could walk everywhere and this cute, historic guest house was situated so we could walk to our favorite restaurants, the Tropic Cinema, the Green Parrot bar, the harbor and even Ft. Taylor State Park for the power boat races. Absolutely loved relaxing by and in the pool. The hosts are just so likable, too. We might have to make this an annual event.

My family and I loved staying at the Angelina! We stayed in May 2010. We were checked in promptly and the woman checking us in gave us great tips on where to eat and what to do. The room, the sheets, the bathroom, and the closets were clean and the breakfast was good! There was plenty to eat for everyone. The quality of the food was good, too. It was like being at a friend or family member's house. The pool is lovely! One evening, one member of our party got sick while we were out. We had already ordered, so we asked our meals to just be boxed up. We ate our dinners by the pool at The Angelina that evening. It was so lovely! The room rates were great, too. The location is top-notch. We always recommend the Angelina to friends and family.

This was our first time for Fantasyfest. We had a ball! Janet and Kevin are wonderful hosts and knew all the spots to go to in town for fun! Our room was small but perfectly suitable since we were never there except to sleep! The pool area is lovely and the location is very central to everything.

We booked again for next year's Fantasy Fest. We highly recommend this B&B!

We have been staying at the Angelina for years and it just gets better! Our hosts Janet and Kevin are so warm and personable. The staff Jim, Nidira, Sammi, Julie and Lyn are so helpful and courteous - they will do anything to fulfill the simplest request. Pool is warm and inviting and the grounds as well as the room are very clean and well cared for. Central to all Duval Street activities, bars and restaurants. No kids, no phones, no TV but that just adds to all the ambiance and helps to relax the mind for a truly Zen Keys experience. We will return for many years to come.

Room Tip: We always stay in Susie - it has a king bed.

Above all a quiet inn with nice tropical yard, heated lagoon style pool with hammocks, waterfall, greenery, very quaint affordable place. The room is small but very clean, there is no television or phones and no loud partying here, No children under 18 years old, under 21 must be with a parent. It is simple, practical, centrally located, clean, well decorated, quaint, they treat you like family, the breakfast is great and diversified. It is Key West as it used to be. The building is Historic, once a bordello and gambling spot in the 1920s Those who like ghosts, well I am sure there are a few here. Many years ago I rented here, it was great then and even better now that it has been remodeled and the pool and courtyard was designed. This place is all you need if you are simple, maintain your partying to Duval and come back here to rest in peace and comfort.

Room Tip: I recommend reading all reviews before choosing your lodging. Although the opinions are in the eyes...
