“Part of History”

The Martello towers are quite rare. This is a fine example and it is great that it has been preserved. We were luckily to see an iguana out front which capped the photo!

“Lovely”

Rode our bikes here. It was a lovely stop to cool off and take pictures. Free entrance to a small but beautiful tropical garden .

“Gardens of beauty”
Reviewed 18 April 2014

This is free and so beautiful. The gardens are so pretty and such a variety of plants. They have gone to so much trouble to make this little spot of paradise. Nice spot for lunch or just a quite moment

“Nice pocket garden”
Reviewed 9 April 2014

Not huge, but very representative of tropical plants, both native and exotic. Nicely arranged, with paths through different areas. A good location on the water, inside an abandoned fort. It's free and lovely.

“Peaceful”
Reviewed 8 April 2014

While in Key West we attended a social event at the Fort and gardens and had a very pleasant afternoon. A lot of beautiful plants and interesting history can be found here. Little paths throughout the property make it a little more special as you find your way through the property. Breathtaking views of the beach and water can be seen from many area's on the grounds. Be sure to get a few pictures!
Bathrooms were clean and spacious.
