This museum occupies a converted boxcar and an old building that formerly stood beside the track. Inside are a number of exhibits related to the history of Flagler's amazing Florida East Coast Railway that formerly linked the cities of Miami and Key West. Videos show old footage of the line and give a comprehensive insight into its history. Despite the small size, there is a lot to see and the admission charge of $3 is good value.

We really enjoyed the railroad museum. There were two one room buildings. The first building housed information on the people that lived in the house. The second building was a railroad car that had information about how the railroad was built, who Henry Flagler was, and what the train ride was like. It was very informative. The train building did have an a/c unit which was nice and cool. Our kids enjoyed seeing both displays and it was quick enough that they did not get bored. Plus, it was very inexpensive.

It is tiny and easy to miss. A lot of good information about the construction of the railroad in a small space. It does not take long. I wish it was bigger and air conditioned ! The attached store just has the usual tourist junk and nothing much railroad related .
