Grand Bahama Suite was perfect for our needs. We celebrated my daughters wedding at Ft Zachary Taylor and enjoyed Duvall Street. The pool was nice and warm and we spent lots of time in it also. The restaurants and fresh seafood were to die for! The flowers from Kutchey's and cake from Key West Cakes along with the wedding were all we could hope for. The suite was large enough to accommodate all the bridesmaids as they had their hair and make-up done. We loved Key West and can't wait to return!
Was very Happy with service and location. Would love to come back. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Paradise island suite was neat and clean and we all had a Wonderful Time.
Key West Bahama House is great even if weather not so good. Pool is warm and Owner is very nice. Would visit again.
Great location, beds were awesome; clean bathrooms.Ours was a second floor, three-bedroom unit with an outside staircase and entrance so it would not be appropriate for anyone who cannot handle stairs. The kitchen, although small and minimally equipped, had the basic pots & pans but it would have been nice to have a starter roll of paper towels; a small bottle of dish soap and some better utensils. We arrived by boat so we could not begin to bring these basics with us. While it says that the unit sleeps eight it seats 5 at most in the living room; and 4 at the table which made eating breakfast challenging. (Would have been nice to have a couple of folding chairs). The Queen bedroom needs a closet but other than those minor points the Bahama House was great. . Loved staying here...will be back.
This place was perfect! We had booked three of the four suites and basically had the pool to ourselves. The Grand Bahama Suite was perfect for the six of us and in a great location, very close to Duval St. Will Definitely stay here again!
We had such a wonderful time at the Bahama House; built in 1826, this is such a well kept property, with attention paid to every detail. We met the owner who is such an incredible person, and really cares to provide a "Best in Class" experience for her guests. 1/2 a block from the heart of Duval Street you couldn't have a better location.
I noticed a previous guest' comment complained about the cost of food in Key West, not sure what restaurants they went to, we were there a family of 7, we found most restaurants had appetizers under $10, and most entree's less that $15. If those prices are too high, there is a Wendy's right around the corner and numerous Subway's and sandwich type shops near by. My daughter went every morning (walking distance) to Starbucks.
Our Bahama House suite (#425) has a full kitchen, and the property has a courtyard bar-b-que by the pool. This setting is very tranquil, it is NOT a party house, everyone should be respectful of the beautiful surroundings and the co-guests that you will share the outside amenities (pool, bar-b-que area, etc.) with.
We brought our music and adult beverages to the pool everyday, and had fun!
We are already planning our next stay in Key West, and without a doubt it will be at the Bahama House. We live in Ft Lauderdale, in a "touristy area", and we found the Bahama House to be that perfect blend of tranquility and rest, with great daytime and nighttime activities nearby.
We'll be back for sure!
Very charming suites. Perfect location. Owner is friendly and attentive. Second time staying here and better than the first. We will be back and we will definitely stay here again.
