There were lots of pros. The room was HUGE. Clean. Modern and beautiful. We had a suite, great privacy from the kids who felt so far away! Nice bathroom. The kids had a separate & smaller bathroom. Our room was at the end of the unit, close to the street. Parking was easy.
We had the housekeeping cart outside our room constantly. My husband would roll it away because we were tired of looking at it! There seemed to be the same man always outside our room...sweeping, watering plants, sweeping, cleaning glass, sweeping... enough! Our outdoor space also faced a wall of mailboxes (when it wasn't blocked by the housekeeping cart) so I questioned whether people actually live here.
The front desk is super nice and helpful but each time I asked a question, I was asked if I was a guest at the hotel. I assume people must wander in the lobby often.
The gym is terrible. Had to walk through housekeeping area to get to.
Pool is nice, but we went next door twice to use the beach at The Reach at the Waldorf. We also ate there twice. We probably should have stayed there! (Santa Maria is behind it and doesn't have private beach access.) This place wasn't for us, but I think it is a very good option for other travelers.
