Galleria Guesthouse

My husband a.d I stayed in Galleria #5 for 9 days and while it was very small it had everything you need it was a little too small for us. We rented thrum Ken and he was excellent to answer all of my emails very quickly and was great to work with. His place is so very clean and had all you need. We truly enjoyed our stay. Very close to everything. And our deposit was returned less than a week. Thanks again Ken it was a pleasure. Jim and linda

Room Tip: Very small but very clean and neat.

One of the Best Private rentals I have ever stayed at. The property was perfect for out Honeymoon in Key West. we stayed in the #5 suite of the galleria end of July 2013. Small but perfect for the daily functions of eating and sleeping. just keep in mind the shower is small. there is a soap dispenser in the shower just in case you forgot shampoo. the locals were friendly and said hello. It is not a fancy area with mansions but the people who live there are very friendly. We had an issue with the bikes having flat tires but a quick e-mail response from the Owner Ken we had New bikes within a day to ride (they were going to be replaced anyway). The washer and dryer are shared but i found rarely used but were pretty new. If you are looking to stay here I highly recommend it. it is within walking distance to the Key West lighthouse, Hemingway estate, southern most point and the Butterfly House. one of the best places to eat was the Blackfin Bistro. it is off Duval St by the House. I recommend the chicken sandwich with pineapple and sweet BBQ sauce mmm. In addition if you need anything there is a CVS as well as a convenience store within a few blocks for food or soap stuff. thanks Ken for keeping this property very Home like and providing great communication to your guests. If we come back in the future he is 1st on my list of places to stay.

Van Gogh studio was a beautiful, affordable room for our first ever trip to Florida. The bed was comfy and the kitchenette was well stocked. We loved the little shower bathroom, too. Although not a big room, we did have wine and snacks on the back deck and used the available bike rack to lock up our rental bikes. A perfect room to use as a home base for all our Key West exploring.

Thanks for the friendly service.

We loved our stay at the studios. It had everything we needed for our trip, cooler bags for the beach, self contained kitchen if we fancied eating in, the comfiest of beds, TV and high speed wifi.
The location was excellent and the use of the bikes made it easy for us to travel around key west.
Would definitely recommend.

We stayed in unit #4 last week. The grounds and room were clean and taken care of. We were able to get in our room early, but not sure if this is typical or not. The room was quite small (which we were prepared for), but had everything we needed and was very convenient to all the best Key West areas. Even though things are relatively close, we would recommend bringing or renting bicycles to really get around quickly. We enjoyed breakfast and drinks on the back deck area, and had no problems with any of the neighbors or surrounding neighborhood. The property manager (Bonnie) was responsive and helpful the couple times were called her. If you are looking for a clean and economical place to stay for 1-2 people, and don't need all the resort perks (which you WILL pay for in Key West) then this is the place for you!

First of all this is an excellent bargain in Key West and worked for us, a family of 4 during Christmas week. That said here are a few things to know in advance. Small means different things to everyone so here are the facts.....This is not a one bedroom unit. It is a micro efficiancy. The place is less than 200 sf ft, about the size of a small 2 car garage with a wall in the middle and vaulted ceilings. One one side is the entry door and wall is a sofa sleeper, chair, and skinny dresser. On the other side of the wall is a full size murphy bed, 2 ft wide tall panty and the kitchen you see pictured. Their is not a door between the 2 "rooms". A door leads to a bathroom. No closet for hanging clothes and very little floor space. Expect to live out of your suitcase.

The unit was clean, over decorated in Key West "flare", and included a small under the counter fridge with ice maker, microwave, two burner plug in appliance and small george forman grill. The kitchen includes kitchenware buit I would recommend buying paper plates, plasticware and paper cups as not really much room to dry the dishes. Plan to eat out back on the common patio as no room inside the unit to do so.

At the time of our stay the use of 4 bikes and an offsite common area swimming pool were included and perks that were greatly appreciated and used often. We found the pool and bikes to be in excellent condition. Access to a common area washer and dryer were also included but we did not locate them until our last day. They are located off the back of the building through an unmarked locked door.

Parking was easy and right out front. The distance to Duval and the action from the unit is great but I would not recommend this location for a single women without transportation as you have to walk by several questionable streets. Excellent communication from the owner and management company was a pleasure to work with.Overall great cozy stay for us and we would stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay in the Claude Monet unit at the Galleria Condominiums. The grounds were peaceful, yet the action of Duval Street and other Key West attractions was just a short walk or bike ride away. The studio was more spacious than a normal hotel room, but it would be tight for more than 2 people.

Almost everything met or exceeded my expectations. The unit was clean. Street parking was a cinch, and having access to a fridge and Wi-Fi was a big plus. While a couple of the power outlets didn't work, it was extremely easy to find working ones. The shower was a little quirky but worked fine. The bathroom sink did not produce hot water and lacked an overhead light, unfortunately, so shaving was impractical. Also, there was no closet, so there was nowhere to hang my clothes.

The included bicycles were in working condition but could use a little TLC. I'm sure it's just a matter routine maintenance, as some people are not that careful with items that aren't their own.

Overall, I had a great stay. Recommended!
