“Excellent Stay at Rose Lane Villas, yet again...”
Reviewed 16 July 2012

Rose Lane Villas is the BEST place to stay while vacationing in Key West. The location is perfect, being one block behind Fat Tuesdays. Being in walking distance to all the bars and restaurants is the key!
The emplolyees and staff at Rose Lane Villas and Old Town Manor were friendly, helpful. Caryn got us a reservation on a snorkel sunset cruise- which was definitely the best night we had there. She was very knowledgeable about things to do and places to eat while staying in the Key West.
We blew a fuse with our hair dryer on the first night at 9 pm and we called the emergency number and someone was there and fixed it within 10 minutes.
This was the second time I stayed at Rose Lane Villas and I won't stay anywhere else while down there.
This hotel/apartments is the PLACE TO STAY!!!!

Room Tip: All rooms in Rose Lane Villas is great. I've stayed in 2 different rooms. All are great.

The only way our stay would have been better would be to have an extra day or 2 and a little less rain. Both the staff and accomodation were excellent!!! We were very excited about the location! Right in the middle of the action. We would not take a place on Duval because of the noise, but this was far enough off to only hear the faint music. Having the separate king bedrooms at Villa Aqua was an outstanding way for us to divide our late night ladies and the mornng bird girls. Great having the living space to gather and plan our day and especially loved the pool which is large enough to swim laps. We used the pool both early morning and evening. It was also fabulous to use my laptop to do business poolside. The pitter patter of rain on the skylights of the first bedroom was a little loud, but soothing and did not interupt sleep for more than a few minutes. The place was just as it looked in the website photos, yet you can't quite capture all the best qualities of actually being there; the quaint old villas, the mature landscape, and peaceful coutyard...lovely!
We were very impressed with your local area information which helped us find the best snorkel trip. It's always exciting to see action in the underwater world. Fabulous! Also, I believe it was you that directed us to the best Drag Show at Aqua for our friend's birthday. What a fabulous show and a blast! Other high lights were the Sunset Festival, Irish Kevin's during the afternoon entertainment, fish dip, quesodillas and conch fritters at The Schooner Warf and The Butterfly conservatorium. It was great to come in for the breakfast! We so enjoyed speaking with you and the other guests, the fresh squeezed greatfuit juice, homemade breads with organic peanutbutter, hard boiled eggs and cheese (for an ample dose of protein).
I can't wait to come back!!!!! I am trying to talk my husband into a trip right now.
See you soon!
Nichole

Room Tip: Poolside rooms are the best! Villa Grande and Villa Aqua are both suites with King beds

We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our stay at Rose Lane Villas. The condo was exactly what we needed--- clean, comfortable, pet friendly, and in an excellent location. It was so quiet! The staff made everything run smoothly--- even when we managed to lock ourselves out in spite of having two keys. A special thank you to the staff for their help and concern when I needed a doctor. I plan to call Rose Lane Villas back the next time I come to Key West, which I hope is soon.

First of all, this property is about a half a block behind the Hard Rock Cafe and Fat Tuesday, and is therefore very close to many many bars. It was a fantastic location! It is located on sort of a one way alley, which is pretty quiet. You get a free parking spot with your unit.

The place itself is very nice. It is 2 old Key West houses converted into smaller units I think there are around 6 units of varying size on the property. We stayed in Villa Aqua which is pool side. It is a 2 bedroom 1 bath unit with a living room and a small kitchen. It had everything we needed. There are plenty of chairs by the pool. The pool is pretty good size for a small place. Breakfast is available at Old Town Manor which is a block over. Breakfast is $5 a person. It is a nice continental breakfast with many natural and organic options. They also had daily maid service, which for some reason I wasn't expecting.

We loved being so close to the bars. Having the pool to come back to after hours of bar hopping was great. I would definitely stay here again. We stayed farther down Duval on our last couple of trips to Key West, so being in the heart of it all was a real treat.

I really liked this place and wouldn't hestitate to recommend it.

Room Tip: Villa Aqua is pool side, which was great.

We took the ferry from Key West and walked 6 blocks to the Rose Lane Villas (sister property to Old Town Manor). The four of us shared a two bedroom villa with combined living room and kitchen. A lovely pool and outdoor patio was just outside our front door. Rose Lane is located in the center of Old Key West, a short walk (half a block) to all kinds of exciting restaurants, bars and a short walk to watch the sunsets. The location is outstanding and despite being in the center of Old Key West it was a quiet place to relax. This is a clean, comfortable place. The only thing missing were hooks to hang up clothes and towels.

In mid December 18 Opals (Older Persons Active Life Style) ran away to Key West. Choosing the Rose Lane Villas and sister property Old Town Manor Bread and Breakfast was the best choice we could have made. Just one block off from Duval Street we found this to be a quiet gem where we could relax, meet around the pool and regroup for another exploration into the delightfully quirky holiday atmosphere of Key West. The location is ideal for walking to many local attractions and transportation to others. The units were very clean and comfortable and a great value. Those staying in the Villas with full kitchens enjoyed a quiet "breakfast at home" while the Manor guests were served an ample contenental breakfast on the patio. Each accomodation suited perfectly. The staff was delightful and extremely helpful to those of us who had never visited before. We would defineitely stay there again and have already recommended this location to friends.

This was our second trip to Rose Lane Villas and it is all about the location. Steps off of Duval down a small lane (alley), right behind Fat Tuesdays. So close to the action but not noisey. You can hear some music from the front porch or balconey but we enjoy that and inside you don't hear anything but the hum of the a.c. Our first trip we had a one bed/one bath for 2 of us. This time we had the 3 bed/2 bath for 6 adults. It was as expected - not fancy but clean and functional with a full sized refrigerator which we used to keep breakfast items and drinks. There are a few things that do need some attention from the management - please invest in a few things that are just worn out - our coffee maker was leaking water all over the counter and the lid is broken and doesn't stay on, making coffee pouring a real mess. The toaster is malfunctioning on one side and in general is just nasty looking. We did report that the upstairs shower was leaking and was informed that they were aware of the situation - it was scheduled for repair after our departure. The champagne that they left for us for New Year's was a very nice touch. If you are looking for a location in the heart of the old town in Key West, walking distance to everything - Rose Lane is the place.
