“Amazing Hotel”
Reviewed 17 November 2013 via mobile

Came to Key West for a friend's wedding and we decided to do 2 nights at the Marriott Beachside using points before heading over to the Sheraton with the rest of the wedding party and I couldn't be happier that we did. Our original reservation was for a presidential suite but since that was overbooked we were upgraded to a ridiculous 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom beachfront villa. It was obscene.

This is the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. The rooms were beautiful, grounds immaculate, and the service was professional and courteous. The pool was very nice though it was cloudy out entire stay we did enjoy the Jacuzzi one night. The 2 bars have 2 for 1 happy hour from 5-7 nightly. The Tavern N Town restaurant was so so, typical hotel restaurant fare but the breakfast buffet was delicious. As we are Elite Marriott members we normally would have access to the club room but as there isn't one at this property we were given 2 free buffets a day or we could just have points applied to the account. If you have dinner at the restaurant you can also get a free breakfast or points.

There is a shuttle with very friendly drivers that run every hour taking guests to Duval St. stopping in front of Margaritaville and picking up there as well. We were so tempted to stay our entire time at the Marriott unfortunately our plans couldn't make that work. I can't wait to come back!

I stayed for 3 nights and had a very nice time overall. The pool bar made good drinks and the food was flavorful and hot. Prices were as expected based on location. Expensive. An iced tea was $4 so get plenty of refills. My only real complaint about the pool bar is that it closed at 7.

The restaurant was nice, but service was slow and prices high. The food was very good.

The rooms were clean, but very small. There is a double door to enter your room, an exterior door that leads to a entry with the doors to several rooms. This is very annoying when someone else enters at 3 am. You can hear doors slamming a lot.

If you want any kind of view make sure you request a pool view.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this property. The room was luxurious and the bed solo comfy!!!! I went to the gym and it was updated, clean and welcoming (rare for a gym). The dinner at Town n tavern was delicious and the breakfast...lets just say all the working out still wouldn't put a dent in the caloric intake I had from that amazing breakfast! The staff was phenomenal!!! From the person at the front desk, to the gentleman who offered me fruits at the gym, simply hospitable.
I love this hotel!!!!!!

This a nice hotel. We spent 4 nights here. It has good amenities, large well-appointed rooms, and numerous services. The poolside bar is nice, and we had a delicious dinner and breakfast in the dining room. Be aware that the hotel is not located in the downtown area; however, an hourly shuttle is offered to Duval Street.

There are two things that we didn't like. First, is the ridiculous $20.96 PER NIGHT charge for parking. Second is the weak but (surprisingly) free Wifi in the rooms. (You can get a strong signal by the pool and lobby however.) There's wired Internet available in the room - at a cost of course. But why is it even there - who would use it nowadays in the age of Wifi?

On our next trip, I doubt that we'll stay here. There's a Courtyard by Marriott that looks nice, plus there are numerous hotels and other types of lodging in the downtown area.

Thank you for your comments and we appreciate them, just as a point of interest we do not charge for internet connection at any time in the hotel nor do we have a resort fee. The shuttle to the airport and downtown is complimentary so you don't have to pay the $2 per hour parking fee at meters downtown. I hope you did enjoy Key West and return to our town as we enjoy sharing the experience of living here.

This Marriott is new and that makes a difference. The new hotels have much less noisy a/c units and much nicer bedding, towels, amenities, furniture etc. We stayed in a water front 3 bedroom suite with a kitchen, living room, DR area and three en suite bedrooms. Everything was clean, new and spacious. There were three flat screen TVs to accommodate everyone's taste for TV.

This unit could be shared by three couples or a large family. The view was spectacular and there was a shuttle bus downtown that ran every hour. It is in a quiet location away from the hub bub of Duval Street and it is convenient to the airport and to other lower keys -like Pine Key.
The breakfast buffet was good and the coffee was nice and strong. We also enjoyed a nice dinner one night at the tavern restaurant.
I never went to the pool but the area was nice and it definitely was luxurious. Best was that there were not a lot of screaming children running around.
I would definitely go back.

Room Tip: The room sin the 500 building face the water and are quiet.

Spent a week get away at the Key West Marriott Beachside Hotel - our room was probably one of the best hotel rooms we have ever stayed in...ever. It was like a cross between having all of the features you would get in a high end beach condo and the full service you get in a hotel room. Our suite had a full size kitchen - marble counter tops - a full size refrigerator/freezer (the size of ours at home) - a washer & dryer - a huge whirlpool - a half bathroom - balcony with spiral staircase down to the pool. The week we chose to go to Key West was one of the most action packed weeks in the "Conch Republic" all year - the Annual Powerboat World Championship Races take place the first of November in Key West. Even though The Key West Marriott Beachside Hotel participated as the boat race headquarters for meetings, events, and the big awards banquet - the hotel was geared up and ready. Great place to stay and a great time of the year to be in Key West.

This hotel is situated just at the entrance to Key West as you come from A1A so it is not in the middle of the Duval Street Hubbub. But it is pleasant and typical Marriott. The pool is very nice and relaxing with bar and restaurant service. The rooms of course clean and comfortable and cool in the tropical heat. The hotel has a free shuttle service down to Duval Street which is convenient and a nice cost saver. Also saves you from having to find parking which us no easy task. I would stay here again.
