We had a great, quiet, nicely furnished room. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful, and the pool area is lovely. However, don't book here thinking you are going to be at the beach! (There is indeed a beach, but I suspect what happened is some marketing folks said "wait! There's this little unusable strip of ground on that waterway behind the building..let's dump some sand there and then we can call it a beach!" It was tiny, the water was full of plant life, there is traffic zipping by on the road the "beach" borders, and on the whole it was unused and uninviting. Also, be aware that you cannot walk anywhere from this hotel... You need to take their shuttle to downtown restaurants and attractions. Still, despite the misleading name, a very nice place to stay!

Thank you for your recommendation and glad you had a nice stay. The beaches in Key west are man made as this is a coral island and the coral reef off our shore stops waves from reaching our shore so no waves crashing on rocks means no natural sand. We also recommend wearing sea shoes when you enter the water as it is rough with pieces of coral at all beaches on the island. To really enjoy the sea life we recommend going to the coral reef and snorkel from one of the many boats that goes twice daily. Thank you again for your business.

Plus= new hotel with plenty of parking. Friendly efficient staff. The shuttle runs regularly. Everything is SUPER CLEAN. Free coffee in the lobby in the morning and a champagne toast at time of check in.

Negative= The hotel is on the far end of the island from Duval street making many things a drive in your vehicle. The bus only runs once an hour and only to a single destination where other hotels run at least to two locations. Since there is major construction across the street, the waffle house and Denny's are closed and per normal breakfast at the hotel is higher price than you would want to pay and is not included in the room price.
Expect to pay $200-$600 per night for your room depending on season and the room/suite you select. A MUST VISIT while in Key West is El Siboney Restaurant.

Room Tip: Chose a high level overlooking the pool

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night and it was 1 night in heaven. Because we are Marriott Platinum Members, we were upgraded to a 3-bedroom suite with it's own private rooftop deck. Beautiful suite with all the luxuries anyone could need. I knew I was in heaven when I was greeted with a glass of champagne at check-in.
We had dinner and breakfast at their restaurant Tavern N Town. All the food was delicious. We also had drinks and snacks at the Blue Bar while lounging at the pool. Awesome drinks and atmosphere along with a local iguana for entertainment.
Key West doesn't have many natural beaches so the small man-made beach at the Marriott was nice to see. We actually saw a beautiful wedding take place on the beach at sunset.
I highly recommend this property. I wish we could have stayed longer!

We spent 2 nights here in our 4 night stay in the keys this July. Great staff! Bartender at the beach bar (I believe his name was Marcus) had great recommendations on where to go for dinner. Shuttle service was a definite plus and we used it quite a bit. Only down side to the rooms was the bed was not comfortable . . . but then I am used to sleeping on a tempurpedic mattress. Would definitely stay here again.

I always stay here when I come to Key West. Their suites are spacious and they have great views of The Gulf of Mexico. The staff is always gracious and goes out of their way to help. They are not located in downtown Key West but run shuttles evey hour, until 11:20pm. Cabs are about $20. Food is better than most Marriots and restaurant staff is very friendly. Welcome Champagne is nice touch.
