This was my first visit to Sarabeth’s, and it was so good that I went back for breakfast a few days later. Located in an old house in a quiet part of town, you have a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. The fish lovers in my party couldn’t wait to order the yellowtail snapper. This boneless flash-fried fish was presented beautifully and lived up to its reputation. Everyone raved. The strawberry shortcake dessert with homemade shortcakes (if you’re expecting the grocery store variety, you’re in for a BIG surprise) and vanilla infused strawberries was scrumptious as well. The friendliness of the staff was superb, and Milios (I hope I came close to spelling that correctly) from Serbia, one of the best waiters I have ever had; please tip him well.
Breakfast was also a treat and punctuated by Sarabeth’s infamous jams and jellies (strawberry/rhubarb---wonderful) and raised plain old toast to a whole, new level. Don’t forget to buy some of those jams and jellies to take home; just remember that they’re too big for your carry-on! There are probably a lot of TSA employees at the airport who have been all too happy to confiscate Sarabeth’s products!
