My wife Lynn and I have stayed at Coral Bay Resort for about 16 years; this time a 40 day stay!!! .... and we wished we had more time. Angie Michael, who has served as Manager for two years, her mom Linda, her dad Tony, the cleaning staff Michelle and Meta are considered our family! We love them all. But more than that, we keep coming back for the may friendships that we have developed who also return every year.We cannot compliment Angie enough for the wonderful job she has done to bring this Resort from 17th at her start, to number one! The property is beautiful, and peaceful! Lynn continues to paint scenes here in water colors, and never tires of this.... and try as I may, I can't fish out Islamorada! Bless you Angie! .... and Bob.... you have a winner!!!

We have been coming to the keys for years we try to get here evey few months,
The absolute best we have found is Coral Bay in Islamorada.

Angie and her husband have been managing it for about 2 years now and since they have come on board, the place has dramatically improved, They are friendly, helpful, and just downright "good" people.

The accomidations are old style florida cottages, but they are updated with really modern tiled beatuiful bathrooms and comfortable furniture. We usually stay in the larger cottage with a full kitchen., large seperate bedroom large living room and awesome bathroom, ,the rooms are reasonably priced and very clean.

Coral Bay has a large pool for swimming a boat ramp and an area to dock your boat ( I think like 12 to 15 boats can be docked at a time). There is a fish cleaning station, and hoses to wash down your boat.

There is a big waterfront Tiki Hut that is a great place to watch the sunset over the Gulf of Mexico at night, or just sit and have a beer and wonder why you don't just sell everything you own and move to the keys...

Each cottage has its own barbique pit, so you can cook fish, or lobster that you may have caught that day, or anything else for that matter... there are also outside tables to enjoy your meals in the fresh air.

This place is truly awesome .... as someone who visits the FL keys very often I highly recommend The Coral Bay Resort.... I can tell you for sure, you will not want to leave, and you will make this your Florida Keys destination.

My family just stayed here for 5 days and had a fantastic time. The resort is beautiful and very relaxing. The rooms are comfortable and clean. We stayed in room 17 which has two separate bedrooms, a spacious living area and a full kitchen. This was PERFECT for our family of 4. Our two teenage boys really enjoyed exploring the grounds and spending time by the water. If you need anything at all, the staff is great for everything from extra touches in your room, advice on places to go see, and restaurants in the area. It has a wonderful, family feel not just from Angie, Linda and Tony, but also from the guests. We met many couples/families who are repeat guests and enjoyed chatting and visiting with them as well. We will definitely be back!

If you are looking for a meal delivered to your room. Or a drink mixed by a bartender while lounging at the pool, this place is not for you. If, however, you are seeking a quiet, relaxing no frills stay in the Keys, I highly recommend this "Little Piece Of Heaven".
When you turn into the resort on the bay from Rte 1, you will immediately see this is unlike the cookie cutter resorts on most coastlines. It has a personna of it's own. This property is absolutely beautiful! The grounds are well kept and spacious. With only 17 units on 4 plus acres, the resort is well off the highway and shielded from the sounds of a busy roadwayand the properties next to it.
Check in was a breeze and when we met Angie and her mom Linda we knew this place is different from other places we have stayed. They are friendly and take an interest in all thier guests. They mingled daily with the guests and knew everyones names as if you were friends for years. This truly is a " Daughter, Mom & Pop" establishment as Tony the grounds keeper is Angie's dad. We felt at home through our stay. The pics online describing this resort are accurate however do not do justice to actually being there.
Our Room was bright and cheery, spotless and roomy. Though this place is an older facility, it is well kept and comfy. Our view was spectacular! We had a full kitchen and utilized it several times.
Sunsets are to die for! When the time comes, most guests saunter down to the dock, with drinks in hand and socialize through sunset. It is a very pleasent ritual. Angie and Linda often join in and introduce the guests.
They even pulled off an imprompto wedding in a span less than 24 hours for friends of ours with a small intimate ceramony. An attestment to their hospitality.
We recommend you do your grocery shopping on your way down at Publix in Key Largo or Winn Dixie just before entering Islamorada. We ate most breakfast and lunches in our room or on the front porch to save expenses.
After 7 days we reluctantly pulled out onto Rte 1 and headed north knowing we will definetly return to our " New Home In Paradise."

Beautiful sunsets, fun fishing off the dock, warm pool and most of all we enjoyed the great people who keep this place so clean and nice, Thanks Angie, Linda, and Tony!!
