“Beautiful Stay”
Reviewed 11 February 2014

This resort is beautiful,
I love it and highly recommend it.
Family oriented, single oriented, couple oriented, even for those who need a alone getaway.
It's just what the doctor ordered.
From when your greeted at the front desk to the bar and restaurants everyone is so nice.
I would defiantly go again.

Room Tip: Any room as long as it out to the beach and the pools. Beautiful Sunsets and Relaxing!

The grounds are very nice with several beach areas, a nice warm pool, palm trees, and great views of the ocean. There are several bars/restaurants on the property though when we were there only the Raw Bar & Shula's were serving food. Our two lunches at the Wreck raw bar were pretty good and Shula's was good too (but very expensive.) We also enjoyed drinks at the Tiki Bar with a guy playing acoustic guitar that Thursday night. I had booked a 2 Queen ocean front room and my husband upgraded us to the 2 BR suite (the two of us plus two teens.) There are two queen beds in the room facing the ocean, with the bathroom in between, and the king bed in the BR next to the parking lot. I'm not sure but I think all of the 2 BR suites are at the ends of the hallways by the stairs on either end so we did hear people in the evening and in the morning talking as they were going down the stairs and the windows did not filter any sound from the parking lot. I think the 1 BR units may block the hallway sound more because the bathroom is actually next to the hallway rather than the beds. I did notice the scratches in the bathtub that some people mentioned but it wasn't that big of a deal to us. The room was clean and smelled fine and the balcony was a very nice size. It was nice to have the mini-fridge. Personally, if you are only staying for a few nights and can manage with 2 Queens, I wouldn't spend the extra money for a 2 BR unit. The front desk staff was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. I like that they require guests to wear wrist bands at the pool and beach (and come around and check) so that non-paying guests can't "crash" the property and use the amenities. It is nice that they provided pool and beach towels too. They have water activities that you can book right there on the property. One last thing, they have PacMan and Donkey Kong video game machines in the lobby with free play that our boys really enjoyed! Ping Pong too.

Room Tip: Didn't think the 2 BR is worth the extra cost, Oceanfront is definitely the way to go at this ho...

Pretty much every thing you might expect and want from a Keys inn. A pleasant beach, water activities, sunset boat ride available, enough restaurants near by, and of course local drinkeries. Nice pool area, beach chairs, etc. The room was a bit rustic and a tad musty but this aroma rapidly disipated with use. Frig and coffee maker in the room were helpful. A side room at the front lobby has free coffee and computer use with a printer. Pleasant staff. Our room had a balcony and overlooked part of the parking lot and the ocean front, providing a most pleasant view.
Beware of the so-called resort fee, an extra per day charge, beyond the room charge, added to cover use of many amenities (parking, beach chairs, etc.). To my thinking, just uping the room charge would make more sense. But Joe and Monica at the main desk were quite open in explaining that adding this charge as an extra line item is rather common.
Most importantly, we would plan to use this place again.

After traveling 16 hours to get there, the hotel said we booked our rooms for the previous month. We used Bookit.com and I had a printed copy with me with the correct dates. The hotel screwed up the dates. Instead of getting our ocean view room we ended up out by the highway behind the baitshop with no price change at all. After talking with 3 other couples we found this happened to them too. So after travelling all day we went to Rumrunners on the property to get a drink and they closed as we walked in. It was 10:30 at nite and they were suppose to be open till midnight. We went to get ice and all the machines were out of order and the pop machine didn't work either so we walked to the gas station to get something to drink. Two days later I went to the front desk to get some regular coffee packets for the room and the lady said you shouldn't be drinking the water. I wonder how many other people they forgot to mention this to.
There is also a $15 a day resort fee that will be added on when you get there. The grounds were very well kept and clean but the rooms were not. Make sure you bring something for your feet because the carpet was dirty and sticky. On our last day we had our long trip back home ahead of us and we couldn't even shower because there was no hot water. They said we can check out an hour later to make up for it. No thanks.
One more tip. If your going to eat on the grounds bring a big pocket book. Two sandwiches and two drinks took care of a fifty dollar bill!

We stayed here 5 nights with lots of family. The amenities offered by the Postcard Inn were great. Heated pool open 24 hours, plenty of sandy beach, 3 bars/restaurants on the beach within walking distance (expensive drink prices). We did snorkeling, paddleboarding, hung out at the fire pits in evening, covered patio area to use when it rained. They had many more things to offer, can't list them all here. The hotel management had no issues with us bringing in pizza/subs for a birthday party, but you cannot bring your own alcohol on the beach. Overall we were pretty happy (probably because we had a mini family going on that trumped everything else) - but now let me tell you about the rooms. Very disappointed. Granted, you only sleep in the rooms and spend most of the day outside so they were tolerable. We booked a block of rooms in Aug for a Jan stay. None of us were together. For the price we paid, it was disappointing that we were overlooking the parking lot and no balcony. You have to pay an extra $50.00 to have a room overlooking the beach - and those rooms may be a little bigger than ours. All rooms have a refrigerator - ours had two queen beds and surprisingly - they were not too bad. I've been in worse beds where you feel like you are falling out. Our room had a table and chairs for extra seating, but none of the other non-beach rooms had this extra. We had four people staying in the room and the dresser had only two drawers, small closet, no drawer in nightstand and no cupboards in the bathroom. All the bathrooms we saw were sadly in need of repair, but usable. Our bathroom was the largest with two sinks but the others were so small, there was no place to put your toiletries. As stated, you only sleep in the room - I wanted to move out the first night, but family convinced me to stay and it ended up not being horrible. Maid service every day was wonderful.

Room Tip: be sure to get room with balcony and maybe think about paying the extra to get a beach front room.

A wonderful location by a small beach and heated pool, I enjoyed every moment here. The rooms were gorgeous-simple but reflecting the harmony and colour outside. I had two rooms, one overlooking the beach, one over the Marina. Both were comfortable and fully equipped. The staff were friendly and the whole place has a cool, laid-back vibe. My only criticism lies in the rather folorn bars around and the awful meal I had at the Raw Bar. shula's was much better. I am already planning my return visit to learn to dive and to sail!

Room Tip: Choose from rooms 100, 200 or 500 and ask for a sea view

We booked this stay not knowing what to expect reading some of the reviews. The resort is beautiful, immaculate, gorgeous pool and grounds. If you are looking for a big beach with waves look somewhere other than they keys. They have a small carved out beach, but it is the pool overlooking the ocean is where you want to be. They also have beautiful areas overlooking the water. Sunrises are amazing and sitting in the tiiki bar watching the sunset is beautiful too. The bars were fun although pretty quiet while we were there, entertainment 2 of the nights. The raw bar has great sandwiches, blackened mahi mahi is the best, and Shulas 2 is good also for breakfast or dinner. While there if you have a car go to Robbies down the road, a great place to eat on the water and shop in the outdoor market and Lorelies on the gulf side to watch the sunset and have fish tacos! Entertainment there every night. Island Grill is good too, we went there 2 nights for their island chicken. Anyway the place is gorgeous, if its relaxing you want! I rarely say I want to go back to a vacation place once I have been, but this place I will go back to!

Room Tip: Ask for a remodeled room, I guess there are some there that have not been yet. If you can get one t...
