My husband chose the Pine and Palms for our 1 year wedding anniversary. We arrived on 4/19 and stayed til 4/21. We paid for the king sized room,When we got there we were told due to overbooking we would be put in a different room the next day.We had the king sized room*room2* the first night which was fabulous. The next night we were put in room 20. with a Queen sized bed and a twin.Im 30 weeks pregnant and didnt have a very good night sleeping in the queen sized bed at all with my husband, the bed was rather uncomfortable and made noise everytime you moved or turned.Other than the room change The bartender Chris was awesome,Staff was friendly and the list for restaurants they gave you had good choices!

We had a wonderful time here. Our cottage was very nice and very private. The employees here are wonderful...thank you Chris and Jacob! Nice bar, nice beach area and pool. The grounds are beautiful and the restaurants they suggested were all excellent!

Room Tip: I do not like "slamming doors" so I wanted a stand alone cottage and even though there wer...

We stayed here for 2 nights. The location is lovely with the "beach" (not sandy) and the pool. Our room with a separate living space/kitchen was spacious enough for 2 people but the bedroom would be a bit cramped for 3. Nice, simple decor and a place to sit outside.
The AC was very loud so I was glad it wasn't soo hot that we needed it.

All in all a lovely place to stay - but for that price (almost 300USD per night incl. Tax and no breakfast available) I would have expected it too be a little bit better. Especially the bathroom and the kitchen are looking a bit tired.

We stayed in Pines and Palms by chance, as we drove through Islamorada after a trip to Key West, and we were very pleased we chose to stay there. Our room was spacious and clean and reasonable given its location. The staff were really helpful and gave us great tips on restaurants. Thank you very much.

While I’d like to say that I thought I had seen in it all in the Keys, but apparently I hadn't. My best friend had been going to this property for the previous two years about this time of year and raved about it. We tagged along on this trip and I agree. GREAT LIL SPOT!!

Each of the cottages rests along the southern shores of Islamorada. We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the rooms (I’ll take dated and clean vs. new and dirty every time), the grounds maintenance, and the “community” feel that the resort offers. If you are looking for a “party” atmosphere, keep looking. This is not the spot for you. I found it quite pleasant that way. The pool, although smallish, was heated which was great seeing as it has been a really cold winter for Florida. The little pool bar was friendly and the service was good. Typical frozen drink menu, decent domestic and imported beer choices, and GREAT WINE LIST!! If you’re a booze drinker, BYOB. Terrible offerings on that front. Each night we would request a kettle Weber grill to cook out and they come clean with a complete set of heavy duty utensils. The owners take great pride in this property and it shows.

We’ll be back!!

Room Tip: BYOB if you are a booze drinker. They're very wine friendly.

The location is wonderful and the property laid out nicely. It was a little pricey but it was an efficiency unit with a beautiful water view and nice beach front. The unit itself was large but the bathroom was small and dated. There was a charge to rent bikes and kayaks that were on premises which I felt that for the price that I paid for the unit perhaps should have included use of the bikes and kayaks. There was not hair dryer or iron/board in the unit. Overall enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in the one bedroom (#22) across from the office, which means you have guests overtop of you and you can hear every unmistakable footstep they take...we even heard them singing and hollering, moving furniture around at midnight, etc. This unit is also facing the main highway, so it is really noisy.

The unit is very old and needs desperate updating. There is one bedroom, and the kitchen, with a bathroom off the kitchen. That's it. No storage at all. Apparently cheap for Islamorada, but at almost $200 per night, it was a bit of a shock for what you get. But it's not all about the room...

The great things about this property is that you are right on the ocean, the pool is lovely and Chris the bartender at the tiki pool bar is excellent. Very close to Bud n Mary's Marina if you are the fishing type...many restaurants nearby.

But keep in mind that Pines and Palms has NO food on the premises...so you must go out and either buy food to cook, or eat at a restaurant. This was a bit of an inconvenience. Actually, we were told on our last night by the bartender that 4-5 restaurants would deliver right to the bar - it's a shame nobody ever told us this on our FIRST night staying here...it would have been nice to know...

There is definitely some work to do on this property, including how they inform guests, updating the rooms, and keeping the place quieter. But the lovely views, nice pool and tiki bar 'saved the day'. Not sure I would stay here again. Seems there are many other options nearby..
