We stayed for an impromtu fishing vacation when our planned trip was cancelled. The accomodations were very adequate. The staff seemed friendly until the last day. The dock master hate people. In our party one person booked a room next door in a pet friendly hotel for his mother in law and young daughter who was attached to her pet. They did board the boat at the marina. When we checked out the staf litterally exclaimed we saw you you had a pet on the premise thats a 100.00 fine. Ignoring anything i said they pointed to
The contract. Then they couldnt tell me which credit card was being charged for what. 3 credit card were used but they could not tell me anything. All three of us are very busy proffessionsls and Florida natives. Please dont think Floridians are like this. I will reccommend that you stay away to avoid having a vacation ruined at the checkout.

If you know anything about the Florida Keys you know that cleanliness is sometimes an issue. Some places are better than others, and some people's tolerance for a bit of shabbiness increases with alcohol and a picture postcard setting. At Breezy Palms you can have it all - Immaculate rooms and a beautiful view (and alcohol too, but bring your own - no obnoxious tiki bar on this property). We just got back from three days at Breezy Palms and wish it could have been longer. The grounds are well manicured and the pool is clean. The property is a big draw for boaters, especially during the recent Florida lobster season, and we were probably one of the few couples there without our own boat, although we were there with friends who brought boats. I know there is no fuel available here, but Bud and Mary's marina is nearby so that shouldn't be a big issue. There are comfortable Adirondack chairs and chaise lounge chairs positioned around the grounds by the docks. There is no beach here, so don't plan on swimming - you'll need to hit the pool for that. I was also impressed with the staff. They were courteous and helpful. Someone mentioned the bright lights near the docks. They were a little bright and could probably be dialed down a notch, but I suppose there are safety considerations. All in all this is a top notch place to stay in the Middle/Upper Keys - we will be back.

Room Tip: Make sure you don't get one of the rooms over the office. They are clean but there are better rooms closer to the water. Ground floor is best too -- especially if you are unloading a lot of gear.

We have been going to the keys for years. Have rented homes, stayed at campgrounds etc. This is the BEST! Great facility, quiet, friendly, clean, well located (blender included)! The beach cottage we rented was nicely appointed. I cannot wait till next year! 5 Stars for Breezy Palms!

Room Tip: They are all good!
