“Stretch the legs”
Review of Anne's Beach

Anne's Beach
Reviewed 7 June 2014

This is beautiful place to stop and stretch your legs on your journey to or from the Keys. Ample car parking. The scenery is magnificent and the colours of the water are breathtaking. The beach is clean and was not busy.

I guess it depends on the beach experirnce you are looking for. We stayedin Islamorada and wanted a day a beach for the kids. Seaweeds and rocks everywhere, so not good for the little ones running around. If you want to sit alone and look at the ocean then maybe this is the beach for you.

We didn't last long here, We were walking to an open part of the "beach" and my girl cut her foot on the rocks, bad enough to make us run to CVS. Overall, the water was clean but that was the only thing clean on that beach.

We had fun on our visit to Anne's Beach for the afternoon. Not a big swath of sandy beach, of course because it's the Keys, but walk along the boardwalk until you find a little cove for yourself and then have a seat right in the water, or set up your beach chair in the water. Bring a book. Very shallow, but very pretty. A nice, relaxing way to spend some time in Islamorada.

One of the few beautiful beaches you don't need to pay to get in.
You can walk in shallow water and see wildlife. I stopped there to do a pastel if the ocean and when I was done a large egret walked up to me took a look at the pastel and moved on. Critics everywhere. Limited parking because its popular.
