“perfect spot for a stop”
Review of Anne's Beach

Anne's Beach

Great place to stop and picnic with the kids, long shallow beach - walk out almost 1/2 mile before it drops to 3-4 feet. Nice shallow snorkeling above sandy ground or seagrass. See crabs, hermit crabs, lush vegetation, clean showers and restrooms. Free. Stay an hour or spend the day. limited parking

This isn't a beach!! It's a place used to run dogs and party. Too much trash and not a nice place. View is nice but that's about it. I wouldn't go in the water either.

I love the keys but they are not known or advertised for nice beaches. So don't go there expecting a good beach experience. There are some beaches in Key West but the water is high in bacteria. If beaches are what you are looking for go to SW Florida. You will find what your looking for there.

We came across this beach off the highway and what a find! The water was warm and clear. Beautiful shades of green and turquoise. Yes, there is not a lot if shoreline so if you want to build sandcastles you are at the wrong place. But if you want to enjoy a good swim, fish swimming around you and the beauty of the keys this is a great place. Keep in mind that seaweed is seasonal and it may be different during other months.

We have stopped here for years now. The term "beach" simply means 'a place to legally park and get into the water'. If you are looking to spread out a beach towel and build sand castles this has never been the place for you. Our first time here it was low tide and completely deserted with tiny crabs everywhere. We have come back regards since, but this year it was dirty and unkempt. Litter was everywhere.

The beach is best enjoyed at low tide - high tide there will be almost no beach. But the water is clear and that wonderful turquoise blue of the Caribbean - so who needs a sandy beach? Plan to go wading and soak up sun.
