Only open for less than a year, this museum has shown two collections of Clyde Butcher ( Preserving Paradise and Cuba). Currently showing several private collections of The Highwaymen and The Hermit Painter of Key Largo-Harry Sontagg. The stories of both collections are amazing. This exhibit lasts to the end of May. July 19th starts The Legends of the Line showcasing all the stories and pictures of the early Keys guides. Upper Keys historian, Jerry Wilkerson, and Curator, Brad Bertelli, contributing.

This new center has been open for only a short time but both of the exhibits it has offered have been outstanding. The first was a collection of Clive Butcher's large photographs from Cuba and the most recent has been a collection of "The Art of the Florida Highwaymen" along with a collection of Harry Sonntag's lost art. I heartily recommend stopping by this Center while you are visiting Islamorada. The art is well displayed in a lovely room. There is ample parking in front of the building which is located right beside the Islander Resort, and the hours are convenient Thursday- Sunday 10-5. General Admission is $12, while Seniors are $10 and children under 13 are free.
