Idyllic, tropical beauty, great room view over lagoon and ocean,That's where it ends. Couldn't order room service for breakfast, which is always part of a great vacation, line was busy for over 2 hours. The same was true for the concierge, who in person, suggested we go "on line" to make dinner reservations, if we were eating at a restaurant not in the hotel. The bartender at the Tiki Bar had to make drinks, not just for the bar patrons but, the restaurants, the pool, and the beach goers. The servers were complaining about how long their customers were waiting for drinks, and at the bar we were last to be served. The managers' answer to all of this was we're 92% occupied.
Great response!!! get a lot more help and you'll get better reviews was my suggestion.
By the way, these are similar reviews I read after booking. But some said they got better, they didn't.

Room Tip: Don't expect 5 star quality, paying a 5 star price. overpriced, very over-rated.

We spent 2 nights at the Cheeca Lodge Resort while on a week long Florida vacation that began the end of February. From the moment we were checked in by Avrahim, we felt very welcomed. From the room amenities to the onsite activities one would be hard pressed to find a more comfortable setting to relax for a few days. This was our first trip to the Keys and while we ventured further South to Key West for a day trip, I would not go past this resort if we ever return to the Keys!

Wow what a bathroom we had. It was overlooking the ocean with a jacuzzi tub! Ask for a room in the main hotel with ocean views. You won't be disappointed. This was out second time to the hotel and had a nice experience. Lots to do between fishing, biking , tennis, golf or just relaxing at the adult pool.

Room Tip: Ocean view

We have a "boys" trip every year and this year we ended up at the Cheeca. From check in to check out we had a great experience. The service at the tiki bar and the spa pool were excellent. We used the resort shuttle for nites out with 12 type A personalities and they handled everything great. (Sorry Bob!). Only small complaint was the golf course teeing areas were basically sand traps. Would return in a heartbeat!

We enjoyed your review, and are delighted you had a great experience from start to finish. Excellent! Our par-three, nine-hole executive golf course was designed by a Jack Nicklaus company and we strive to keep it in tip-top shape; our apologies. It’s great to hear you would return in a heartbeat! Thanks for writing.

Beautiful and quiet rooms. Great food in their restaurants. Lots to do such ad golf, tennis, beach. Nice pools. Wonderful service. I lost/misplaced my car keys and Bruce in valet went above and beyond to help me. Can't say enough. Would stay there again.

The front desk told me that Cheeca loves to hear from guest here on Trip Advisor, so here I am to express our gratitude for an incredible four day escape from the norm.
Friends invited us to travel with them to Cheeca and made all the arrangements. We had never been to the keys before. We had no idea how wonderful it was going to be. The bellman Bruce was extremely helpful when we arrived. From there it was champagne at the front desk and off to the Tiki bar while we waited for our rooms to be ready. At the Tiki bar it was Bruce again. He told us the two Bruces often get mistaken for twins. (you’ll have to meet them to understand) We weren‘t thrilled about waiting for our rooms but that two hours ended up being one of the high lights of our trip. We looked forward to seeing him again but never did.
That night we ate at the sushi restaurant and it was unbelievable. The beach is man made but it was perfect to enjoy the sun. There’s also an adult pool that was great to lay around and do nothing. We enjoyed bike rides, tennis and even a mini golf course during our stay. The grounds are remarkably beautiful to enjoy while your enjoying all the rest. Only have one negative and that’s the resort fee which is tacked onto your bill (39.00per day) I understand it but it seems a little to much. I would certainly recommend Cheeca Lodge to anyone wanting a relaxing get away in the sun.

Room Tip: The ocean view is a must.

My boyfriend and I went down to have a quick getaway. Everyone is so friendly and could not be any nicer. Our checkin time was at 4:00 but we were able to use all the facilities and was called on my cell when room was ready.
We checked out at 11:00 but were able to still use the facilities until we were ready to leave.
They have complimentary kayaks, bikes, hot tub, tennis courts, a few holes of golf, adult pool with cabanas as well as family pools.
There is also fresh water put out everyday with limes or oranges for you too.
Great restaurants such as Lemoncello, a sushi restaurant and even Chart Room for drinks
and quick bites for Happy Hour.
Beautiful tropical landscape surrounds the whole resort.
A must stay in Islamarada!!!

Room Tip: Stay in rooms facing Lagoon with waterfalls or facing the ocean.
