This was a lovely place. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. We ate dinner under the stars and a full moon. Very romantic. Highly recommend for a relaxing weekend get away.

I have stayed at the Cheeca Lodge multiple times and have always been very happy with the resort, rooms, amenities etc. However, this time might be the last one I stay at the Cheeca Lodge. First of all, as soon as I walked in the bathroom I say a roach lying on the floor. I thought it was dead, but when someone came to spray it, it ran away. Needless to say I was anxious all night to see it somewhere. Second, the shower was full of dark black mildew. At first I thought this was the color of the stone but when I started scratching it, it came right out. Therefore, I wasn't able to take a shower. Third, I ordered shrimps from room service. They arrived on a wet salad, did not look fresh at all (they looked like they had been sitting outside for a while) and cost me 15 $ more then the price on the menu because of service charges, delivery fees and so on. I usually never complain but I was expecting a good service from the Cheeca lodge -the one I am familiar with- but unfortunately, my experience this time was very deceiving and I will consider it twice before spending a night there.

Beautiful hotel in lush tropical surroundings. We had a one bedroom suite which was great. Kitchenette with living room and lanai. Nicely appointed room and super comfy bed. Staff was amazing. Requested addl water bottles and within one minute they were delivered. Evening turndown service was a nice surprise surpassed only be chAmpagne at check in.

We stayed here 2 nights on a driving tour of the Florida keys. It's a pleasant medium sized resort set around a 9 hole golf course. We had a double queen room overlooking this. The golf is included in the resort fee as are the kayaks, tennis, bikes and SUPs. Generally the property is well kept but there are the odd places where more care is needed - some of the lagoon water features could do with cleaning up for example. Other negative points were on a rainy day the area around the bottom of our external stairs was flooded and we had to walk through a 6ft wide puddle, also when we came back to our room at 3:30pm looking forward to a warm shower we found that housekeeping hadn't serviced the room. When we called up we were told they service rooms until 4:30 so at 4:10 we had to leave the room while it was cleaned.I've never had such a late room service before and don't think that's really acceptable for a luxury resort. More staff needed maybe?
Having said this I would stay here again and I loved the look of the place at night with the torches lit everywhere.

In my first overnight trip to the Keys, I stayed at Cheeca Lodge & Spa and it is an overall great experience.

Service seems to be their number one goal, since the moment they open the gate, until the moment you leave, all the employees are trying to ensure your experience is great. From offering a champagne at check-in, to refilling fridge with water bottles every day.

But the greatest highlight for me were the activities that are offered. From Paddle-board Yoga ($35), to Paddle-boarding ($0), to Pitch and Putt golf ($0). All of these activities make it perfect for anyone seeking a retreat from the day to day.

The rooms ... this is where the minor spots come in. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, bathroom design opens to the room so you can chill in the tub and watch tv.
But if you look at the carpets you will see the signs of wear and tear, as you can see stains on the carpets. Also wild life can be seen throughout the hotel area, iguanas by the golf course, but also roach looking bugs in your room......

All in all, except for those little spots the experience was excellent and would recommend it to anyone seeking to escape the city.
