We came to town without a reservation and after stopping by a couple of other motels we were feeling hopeless. From the rear view mirror we spotted this place and decided to pull in. We figured it couldnt be any worse than what we had seen and the price we were quoted. We were so surprised when the rooms we were shown were so spotless and at a great deal!!! The rooms were pleasant for the stay and included a fridge and microwave. Ms. Diana is an amazing lady and it was great chatting with her over the 2 days that we stayed. I don't believe there is beach access, but there were a couple of beaches that we stopped at within a mile or two of her place. If your looking for a clean and affordable place to stay, this is a great choice.

Great little place, quaint and close to everything. What you would expect in the Keys and the area. Left Sombrero Resort and Marina to come here. Glad we did.

Although we are retired, we went to the Keys during spring break. Prices in general for rooms during this time are simply ridiculous. Having said that, we changed our plans from Key West to Marathon. After doing some searching on the internet and shuttering at the prices in Key West, I moved my focus to the middle keys and ran across the review of the Ranch House on Trip adviser. Based on those reviews, we decided it would be our base. Would a pool have been nice? sure, but I'm not willing to spend an extra $100.00 a night for it and we were staying for 4 nights. We were traveling on motorcycles (2 couples) and it was more about the trip than laying by the pool all day. There were plenty of state parks with beaches for that! Anyway, everything that was written about Diana and her making you feel welcomed and at home as well as the line dried fresh smelling sheets were true. She made us mango salsa one night while we were relaxing outside playing shuffleboard! She brought us bananas from her banana tree another niight! We had a handicapped friend traveling with us and Diana, her daughter, and her aunt, really took special care of her. If your looking for a comfortable, clean, and convenient place for attractions to stay you have found it. If your idea of a vacation is lounging around a pool and ordering room service, this won't be for you. I really, really love a great value and truly feel that we found it!

Old fashioned (50's style) hotel, small rooms. When you arrive you may think you made a mistake---I did. But this is the cleanest (by far) hotel I have ever stayed in in my long life. The vegetation is gorgeous and Diana can tell you what each and every plant is. There is a semi tame iguana on the premises. This is family owned and operated and I met Diana, her daughter, grand daughter, friends, etc. Diana makes you feel like family from the first minute. She knows the best beaches, fishing spots, restaurants, cheap drinks, fun spots, where to get whatever you need. She's thought of everything, various types of vintage and comfortable lawn furniture, grills, tables, chairs, shuffleboard and a short walk to the ocean. We left there after a few days and headed to Key West. I wish I'd stayed here with here and driven (or taken a bus) to Key West. GREAT rates for the Keys, too.

This motel is an ole fashioned beach motel with a friendly owner who is willing to accomodate you with info about the area or anything your room may be lacking. The rooms are clean with extra firm beds fitted with crisp clean sheets which have been line dried in the Florida sunshine and fresh air. The standard rooms have a small frig and microwave while some others have full kitchettes. There are coffee machines upon requests. You will need to bring your own coffee stuff and toiletries other than soap, which is provided. There are nearby grocery stores and restaurants (Annette's seafood was a good place to eat and the Wooden Spoon was a 30 yard walk). There is not a pool but the Sombrero beach is only 3 miles away.

Clean, no frills, comfortable accomodations. We stayed for three nights in Unit 10. Having stayed in many hotels 1 star to 5 , that was the best bed I ever slept in at a hotel/motel.
Diana, the owner is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed her 2 restaurant suggestions.
We hope to return next year.
