When I looked at their website, the boats looked new and well maintained. However, the 21 ft Seafox we rented did not have the 225 hp motor, but a 150 hp motor, which did not power the boat well. It was difficult to keep the boat on plane in a light chop. Since we only went out 3 miles into the Bay and back it didn't seem to matter much. We were told the boat was full of gas when we left, and that we could refuel it when we returned . However, upon our return, we were told that the marina had run out of gas and we would have to make a one hour plus roundtrip to Capt. Hooks Marina to refuel. Their marina refueling dock was small and busy. It took 28 gallons and $145 to refuel the boat. Upon our return to SPM the very helpful friend who was watching the place, as the owners were not there, said he would make it right, and he did. He got on the phone and then gave us $100 cash back for our troubles. While the situation was resolved to our satisfaction we won't go back. The ramshackle state of the marina, (no tp in the 3rd world restrooms), and the owner drinking a Corona at 9:30 AM definitely played a part in our decision. If you rent from these pleasant enough people, keep your fingers crossed.
