We stopped off at Curry Hammock State Park campground in our rented RV for 2 nights during our tour in Florida. This was one of the best campgrounds we found - neat, tidy, private sites big enough for even the biggest RV. The facilities are neat and clean. There's a path from the campground direct down to the beach - nice and sandy to sit on, but there are rocks and seaweed just off-shore so not too good for swimming. And it's very shallow.
the public beach has good facilities and picnic tables with shade.
Oh and there's a great little restaurant nearby on the same side of Marathon - Sparky's Landing.
I've done a review - am amazed that others haven't found it - it's a bit out of the mainstream of Marathon town. Was recommended by one of the State Park guides. Thank you.
