We visited for dinner on May 26th because of the restaurant's top rating in Trip Advisor. I started off with the Samba Salad (Mixed Greens, Mango, Avocado & Mango Balsamic Vinaigrette). My girlfriend had the Spinach Salad (Baby Spinach, Strawberries, Blue Cheese, Spiced Pecans Red onion & Raspberry Vinaigrette). For our entree, I had the Cuban Pork Chop with Sweet Plantain Crema, Black Beans , Saffron Rice & Seasonal Vegetables. My girlfriend had the grouper, which Cheryl, our server, said has won several awards. The grouper was in a light Panco Crust and was served with Crispy Leeks, Tropical Coulis, Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes and the Seasonal Vegetables. For dessert, we each had the key lime pie which is beyond description. We each had a unsweet herbal tea as our beverage. In many restaurants, one or two items stand out as excellent. In this restaurant, everything we ordered was excellent! The atmosphere is very relaxing and very "Keys." Diners can eat in the dining room with cathedral ceilings and large cloth ceiling fans or dine on the wrap-around porch in a tropical garden setting. The service that Cheryl provided was also excellent. She thoroughly explained the menu, made appropriate suggestions and paced the meal to our preference. Both she and the receptionist were very welcoming. The dinner for two as described was about $120 before gratuity. This restaurant is on the more expensive side - but well worth it if you appreciate fine dining. It is clear to see why this is the Number 1 rated Marathon restaurant in Trip Advisor.
