Wonderfull hotel..... Can't say enough on how friendly and helpful staff was. We had a emergency visit at 2 am and staff went over and beyond in helping us get a room. When in the area again, will definitely return to this location. Breakfast good, beds comfortable, location convenient.

We spent a week at this Hotel for our vacation. ALL the employees were so nice and VERY helpful. They couldn't do enough for us to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. The pool is heated and delightful when you get in to relax you.

Room Tip: best view is on the top floor and facing the pool.

We stayed for 5 nights with our 8 and 10 year old daughters. 1) We stayed in room 214. We were so excited that the window opened until my daughter's asthma kicked in. We realized the smokers' bench was directly below our window and all the smoke was sucked right in. This could be easily fixed by moving the bench over to the little grass island several yards away. 2) Again, room 214 issue. It was right above both the check-in desk AND the breakfast area. Holy LOUD in the morning! All the old people needing hearing aids are screaming at each other at breakfast. This could be good if you tend to oversleep. If you like to sleep in, do not book this room! 3) There is no clothes line in the bathroom. We improvised with the clip hangers on the shower rods. However, for a place by the beach that also did not provide towels by the pool this was a pain. 4) No laundry room-again for a place by the beach? 5) Housekeeping didn't come until LATE, and one day didn't come AT ALL! When we went to the front desk to ask for clean towels, they did credit our room $25. 6) They served those gross egg/cheese omelet things every single day, and are cold in the middle. No scrambled eggs. Also, the kitchen person seemed to be running herself ragged. 7) We left a note on our tip envelope that the light in the bathroom was flashing non-stop. Then we told the front desk. It still was not fixed when we left. 8) Even with all the above complaints, that can EASILY be fixed, we really did have a great stay. The pool was nice and warm. The view was beautiful. A nice restaurant within walking distance. The suite we booked had a fridge, counter, sink and room to stretch out. A great value for families! We would stay here again.

My husband and I arrived to Marathon the day before the annual Key West Half Marathon/5k Run. We got there just in time for check-in. The lobby was packed and there was a line, with one front desk agent handling everything. She was very friendly and efficient through the whole situation and surprisingly, we only waited about ten minutes.

The staff welcomed my husband and I by addressing my husband's status in the IHG rewards program (He is a platinum member). That was nice. The only thing that was a little inconvenient, was that our room lock was malfunctioning, so maintenance had to be called to fix it. The maintenance man came quickly, and it took about 20 minutes to fix the door, but he was friendly and resolved the issue properly the first time.

After going to dinner, we returned to the hotel where there was almost no parking at night. Behind this property is a bar/grill called Tarpon Creek. There was a band there the night we stayed. It was very rowdy outside, but once we were in our room, we could only hear the slight pulse of the base from the speakers at the bar. It did not bother us, however, if you are easily bothered by noises, I would request a quiet room upon reservation or check-in.

We requested a late check out and, even though the hotel was sold out, it was granted to us no questions asked. We only left about 20 minutes later than check out time, but it was nice to know we didn't have to rush.

The hotel was immaculate. The staff was great. Breakfast was good. The location - amazing. The room overlooked the pool and lagoon.

We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is further away from the noise at Tarpon Creek Bar/Grille (Especially on weekends!)

Super impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and room. We had stayed the night before at a Westin in Orlando. The room at the Holiday Inn Express was so much fresher and cleaner than the Westin. The staff was also very helpful with giving us ideas about things to do on the island. We will definitely be back!
