“Challenging round of golf!”

Reviewed 15 May 2014

This is the sister course of Remington which have played a couple of times while on holiday here and as a beginner golfer this course is more of a challenge than Remington but no less enjoyable!

Reasonably priced and took circa 4 hours for us to play 18 holes in mid afternoon. Course was in a good condition when we played loved the water features made for an interesting round avoiding the water rather than the bunkers!!

One point to note the hole markers are not quite as clear as seen at the Remington course. It was sometimes confusing to work out where the next hole was by just following the map on the score card a minor point though that didn't detract too much from the round.

Would recommend this course for a fun and challenging afternoon out playing golf in the glorious Florida sunshine!

We decided to give this a try having read several complimentary reviews. Initial impression was good but surly check-in did not augur well. Starter was very helpful and we set off before our tee time. We were immediately struck by the poor condition of the course but tried to be forgiving as the area had suffered dreadful thunderstorms on the preceding 2 days but nothing could excuse the state of the 'greens'. I use this term loosely as they were more like closely cut fairway with weeds and the holes badly damaged.
We completed 18 holes but lack of signage made each hole 'hit and hope' particularly as the 150 yard markers were only helpful for males, there is nothing to assist a long-hitting female. Sadly, not a course we would ever consider returning to.

We discovered this course 2years ago and return at least once every time we are here. It's sister club-Remington is good as well. The course was in prime shape. Although it is a community housing GC, it is wide and fun to play. The cost was only $ 37.25. The staff were friendly, the food delicious, the prices reasonable and the carts were great. Their weekly Friday night supper is superb as well. This is a definite bargain

Nice layout, generally good condition but rather wet in areas when we visited after some days of rain. Like many courses bunkers just compacted sand. Good value via Golfnow. Slow front nine, we seemed to be stuck behind a group lesson, but pace picked up after that, still 4.75 hours which seems to be what you have to expect particularly if you start late morning onwards. Greens pretty good overall. Nice clubhouse. Well worth the visit and would go back

I played this yesterday with my husband, paid $30 via golf now and this was worth it. A bit wet in places but this didn't spoil the game, the water.....as in the lakes....were in my way a lot of the time so I lost a few balls!. Enjoyed the wildlife....alligators and turtles. No queuing in the morning but as we finished it was much busier. We have found that playing morning is best as far more people venture out for the afternoons. Also don't stop at after hole 9 but carry on and the back 9 are nice and leisurely.
