I recentely stayed at the Gaylord for a convention. The facility is huge! Great rooms, very clean and easy to find your way around.

The atrium is really nice, tropical indoors! The pool is awesome! Great service & very friendly people.

I stayed at the Gaylord Palms for a convention this past weekend. The atrium area is amazing. I was given room 5066 an outside room which there was nothing amazing about. It had a view of the lobby roof, which really wasn't a problem, but what was a problem was the non-stop noise. It sounded like my room was located in the elevator shaft even though I was no where close to the elevator. The "free" Internet worked ok in my room for checking my email. The food that was served buffet style at our convention was just ok but unless you were first in line, they ran out of everything. The atrium area was amazing, they did a great job with it, but my room was just ok.

Great family hotel and very convenient to all the Disney Parks. The guest rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. Our rooms was right in the middle of the St. Augustine section which made it nice to sit on the balcony and enjoy the sites and sounds. Other reviews complained about the noise but we did not have any issues. The game room and pool/water park area were great for the kids. We ordered room service for the kids while we enjoyed the Steak House which was a bit pricey but great service and ambiance. The Veal Chop was one the best I ever had! All in all a great, fun family hotel!

Stayed here for a business trip. This place is huge. Rooms have different themes. Which was kind of nice. My room faced the patio in the middle of the hotel which is actually huge and has couple of restaurants in it which at night made it noisy. The room itself was nice. Clean and comfortable. Nice friendly staff. Very helpful. Just the hotel is kind of in the middle of nowhere.

The resort is really nice and welcoming. Had a great time with the in laws. I do agree with some reviews regarding the atrium facing rooms being loud because of people during their events downstairs but other than that, the view is beautiful. Arcade was fun, but a bit pricey but overall better than most arcades. Will definitely be staying here in the future!

The rooms and setting are gorgeous! The food is expensive for families but the location is good for those that want to venture off property. The adult pool is nice and the family pool is great for fun family time.

Room Tip: Valet parking. But $$$. If you park, be ready to walk around.

The Gaylord Palms is what you would expect from a mega-conference hotel in Orlando; big, fake rocks everywhere, expensive food with no nearby dining options, and a nice staff. The room was fine, nothing above average for a business-class hotel. I did find it a bit noisy at night as our room overlooked the outdoor part of the steakhouse. They quieted down by 11pm or so though. If you need to get to bed early, maybe ask for a room facing the real outdoors.

The restaurants, as you would expect in a Gaylord, are expensive. That said, lunch at the seafood place was pretty good. However, I thought the dining options were a little odd. For breakfast, there's a coffee place with baked goods, or a all out buffet. There was nothing in between, other than room service.

The highlight to me was actually the game room. My husband and I had a lot of fun playing air hockey. Otherwise, since the hotel is near NOTHING within walking distance, it's sort of boring. But, all the hotels in this area are designed for you to drive up, check in, and never leave.

Room Tip: Be warned that rooms facing the indoor gardens get a lot of noise from the restaurant patrons.
