It's a range of Disney Magic beyond the Parks Experience. This is the Newest Disney Resort and for this reason it brings again the concept of themed accommodation. It's great for the kids,
Four different themed rooms: Little Mermaid (Less expensive one, the further one) and 3 others with similar prices: Cars, Lion KIng and Fiding Nemo (close to the Lobby and with the largest pool in a Disney Resort. There is other pool at Little Mermaid Area).
The themed rooms are basically: New, Clean and as usually in Disney : Small (Large Group? There is a Suite Option).
Good and Large Parking Area. Basic Breakfast; but you can solve with room service.
In summary: A Good Cost/Benefit issue with the Kids.

Stayed during the summer of 2013. Booked a standard room and ended up getting upgraded to a Cars Suite. What a treat. The room had 3 sleeping areas if you count the pull out couch, an eating area and 2 full bathrooms. Everything was clean and the beds were very comfy after a long day in the parks. The property has two pool areas, a large one by the main entrance and a smaller one by the Cars section. My son loved the peacefullness of the smaller Cars section pool. We practically had the entire pool to ourselves. Food in the dining hall was suprisingly good. We would definitely recommend this property to families travelling to Disney World.

I first stayed here when it had only been open a couple of days I believe we were the first people in the room we stayed in... We were in a Cars suite and it was excellent! However this trip we stayed in the Little Mermaid rooms and it was not nearly as nice as the suite. I know that the room itself is not as nice but the the cleanliness, and theming was just not the same as in the Cars area...

Landscape of Flavors is very good and the bus service as alright but overall the Little Mermaid rooms are the same as any other Value resort at Disney, mediocre a place to sleep...

Now I want to separate the resort and say the Suites are great I would definitely recommend them however the regular rooms are not! I would pay attention to which room you book here!

Loved it. Let us check in early and check out late. Great pools. Nice arcade for the kids and nice food court. The staff there is very polite and if safety is a concern of yours this place is for you.

Room Tip: The condos say sleeps six but four should be children and not adults

We checked into Little Mermaid section at the AoA. We were a party of one old lady & two 20 year old young women. They are big Disney fans & insisted on Hotel with Disney everywhere! Check in was quick, easy & fast but, we went at a low occupancy time of year. The place is really fun and had much to see in lobby. The whole place is really "Disneyed out"!! The room we stayed in had Little mermaid everywhere and we really liked it. The room was small with 2 double beds and a fridge. There was a blow dryer but no coffee maker. The biggest problem we had was that the fridge was located in the dresser where drawers would have been so we only had 3 smallish drawers to actually use. It was something we dealt with but more storage would have been nice! We were not disturbed by noise at all and we had pool view room. Everything worked fine inside the room. The towels were fine, the beds did the trick and the linens were fine. They were not luxurious, but were a bit better then what I would expect for a value resort hotel at a theme park. The pools are AWESOME! Especially the Nemo pool where guests hear the characters from the movie while they are under the water. This resort is so colorful and there is so much to see as you wander about. There is 4 sections; Little mermaid (regular hotel rooms), Nemo, Cars & Lion King ( all suites). All of the sections are fun to see & have there own unique qualities. The walk to the lobby & food court is quite far especially from Little Mermaid rooms. I would say it's about a 5 to 8 minute walk. I love to walk so was not a problem for me but doing it with small kids might be daunting after a long day at a park. There is a lake that separates the AoA from Pop Century resort hotel ( an older value hotel). There is a bridge that can be crossed to visit that property. It is a nice walk and there are better playgrounds on that property for children to play. There is a sidewalk going around the lake that I walked every morning. There were many others strolling or jogging or just enjoying the views from benches set up along the way. There are fact markers and info about Disney and Disney movies, Good stuff. I enjoyed the lake and scenery. The food court was kind of cool in that it offered different choices along with the usual theme park hotel choices. We were there 8 days so tried many things, some we liked, some we didn't. Most things we liked. there were times when it was packed and seemed cast members had a hard time keeping up with the messes people make but they did pretty good. Prices were high, as we expected (and planned for) but not high enough that it stopped us from eating here. You self serve drinks and coffee so refills are not a problem. There is no restaurant on this property. Advice...go to the food! Don't try to bring food up to your room, it takes too long and food is cold when you get there. There are plenty of snack foods you can keep on hand in your room in the fridge. The Ink Paint shop is fun to shop in and there is a small arcade. The grounds are kept spotless and housekeeping was spot on. The staff were incredible as we expect from Disney. While there is so much to see on this property, there really is not a "playground". There is an area that is supposed to be a kids play area but it is lacking. Take the walk to Pop century for real playgrounds if you find yourself with a couple of hours and kids who need to let some steam out. I went and walked all over Pop and it has fun stuff for grown ups to see, too. We took the free shuttle to the parks each day (sometimes multiple times in 1 day) and had no problems at all. No long waits, but again, we went were there at a low occupancy time of year. We had no problems with cell service as others seem to have had. We all have Verizon. All in all this was a great trip. Go see all areas of this property!! There is a ton to see, and bring a camera!! Bring children, That's what this place is geared toward. I probably wouldn't come here on a honeymoon (unless you are a serious Disney freak, fanatic)!! Be ready to walk a lot, Don't expect gourmet food from a food court but expect different choices that are a bit overpriced (as we should all be prepared for when visiting any theme park property)! We all agree that we would stay here again in a heartbeat, especially if we had kids with us!! Loved it

Room Tip: Ask for lake or pool view to avoid looking at parking lot. Lake view rooms will be quieter then pool...

We stayed as a family, 2 adults and 1 child, and loved the resort. Room exceeded our expectations. We felt the Disney magic everywhere we went. We had high expectations for this newer Disney resort and we weren't disappointed. We were in a Cars suite - the separate bedroom and 2 bathrooms made both getting ready in the morning and winding down at night much easier. Can't wait to go back and stay again!

Room Tip: We had a Cars suite. We enjoyed being a little removed from the main building. The Cozy Cone pool...

The animation on wall was so cool when I checked in, was tempted to involve the whole family just to check in. The management was incredible, they upgraded me to a cars suite, which was super nice and had a super fun view of the cars characters and a cars lobby and pool, so much fun. We planned on just staying one night but we decided to stay another night because of the kind upgrade. We got creative and switched room to the lion king suite and it was magical. Cars had the coolest outside area but lion king had the best suites. Lion king room had view of simba grown up on the famous rock so was magical as well. Both suites had the best views, I felt like the management was spoiling me. The pools were fun, the finding Nemo pool is cool cause it has a small kids area. Three lifeguards on duty was nice. The arcade, ink paint shop, and food was perfect. Putting the credit card on file and buying everything with wristband was fun for wife, me, and kids. What started as a quick one nighter, turned into a magical staycation. We decided to go to epcot last day so 2 year old could see Mickey at character spot. He loved it. The suites were so fun we had to take pictures. Both suites had a super cute table that had levers that pulled down and became a bed. When you pulled it down it had a super fun animation that was hidden when it was a table. The car suites bathrooms were fun cause tile had like bubbles, very cute. The Lion King bathrooms super cool cause tile was the famous lion king sunset. The light even turned on gradually like a sunset. The lamps and dressers in both suites were super cute. The couch turns into bed as well. You can do two on couch bed, two on table pull down bed, and 2 on queen master bed. was nice having 2 full bathrooms. suites are like staying in a 2/2, very spacious. This resort is the best I feel cause rooms are based on the movies and much more fun for kids. A modern contemporary room or florida room or Polynesia room, or animal kingdom room just doesn't compare cause the movies and animation brings the true magic for the kids and even adults. I rather say, this is so magical and disney than say, that was a pretty room. I love that the hotel is the newest, I am all for newest. love you disney management.
