Spent a week at Disney World second last week of August and stayed at the Art of Animation. We stayed in the Little Mermaid building which seems to be the lowest price rooms. It was VERY clean and new. The rooms size is a bit small with two beds but okay. The main check in building is very nice. The staff from check in to the restaurant was very good. The other buildings like Cars is very nice. Might try that out next time!

The negative item(s) is the Little Mermaid rooms are the furthest away from the main building so there is about a 5 min walk. It isn't much but after a long day at the parks it is tiring. The food in the restaurant isn't very good which is pretty much the same at all restaurants in the park. They should work on improving food quality.

I understand from another family we met the parking is free if you stay at the resort. The bus system is amazing. Usually we do not wait for more than 5 minutes and the drivers are very friendly.

Will definitely consider this hotel again next time.

Stayed here in august for 2 weeks with 3 kids, the kids loved looking at all the characters from little mermaid, nemo and lion king while walking around the resort.
I would recommend staying in one of the suite rooms as you get loads of space and 2 bathrooms which is handy in the morning. Landscape of flavours was a bit of a let down the food was good but always the same and after 2 weeks of eating there and at all the disney parks it just got boring and repetitive.

We stayed in one of the Lion King Suites. The room was awesome! We always had plenty of towels/toiletries and everything was CLEAN! We really felt at home. The design and attention to detail of the resort was amazing! Everyone we came into contact with were more than helpful and it made our vacation the best! We will definitely stay here again! Counting the days until we go back!

Just came back from Disney. 4 adults & 1 child stayed at the Art of Animation, NEMO Suites. Loved this place. 2 bathrooms, 1 bedroom w queen size bed, couch pulls out to slept 2 & Murphy bed pulls down to sleep 2. All were very comfortable. A small kitchenette with small fridge, sink & microwave was also in the room. Great value resort. The Nemo pool is enormous & they have movie night there every night & games & crafts for the kids every day. We were right there by the pool & within short walking distance to the food court. The food court was not bad for dinner & lunch but breakfast was not that great. My biggest complaint was the worst coffee I ever had. My daughter counted 11 sugars until it made it drinkable. The resort was close to all the parks because I think we were on the buses no longer than 20 min at the most & they ran often. Overall, I would definitely stay there again. We had the dining plan which was awesome as the places we did book for dinner were wonderful.

Room Tip: If you want to be close to the BiGest pool at the resort, choose the Nemo Suites, it's also clos...

We books two family suites for a 7 night stay with 12 of us including a toddler and baby. The rooms worked well with careful planning. Each room has a decent size small fridge and a microwave. We ordered groceries delivered from Garden Grocers and were able to have breakfast and snacks or lunch in the room which saves a bit on food prices. The beds are a bit on the hard side but to be honest we slept fine every night. Probably from worn out days at the parks. Personally speaking I did feel that the shuttle buses were a little on the slow side for our resort. I'm comparing to the last stay which was at Saratoga Springs and the bus shuttle wait was much less. Art of Animation is a much larger resort though and I feel that they should have more shuttles due to the size. Grandchildren loved the pool! Good at this resort was just ok but done of the family ordered pizza delivered and they said it was really great!

My husband, son and I stayed here for a five-day Disney vacation. We have previously stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and the Polynesian. Because our son is now a teen, we chose to stay in an Art of Animation suite to afford everyone more privacy. We were very impressed with our first stay in a value resort. The property is well maintained, conveniently located and an excellent value.

The property is beautifully and imaginatively landscaped. Our suite was in the Lion King section, which was very close to the bus stop and Landscape of Flavors. We enjoyed the variety and quality of the food available, although the dining room was noisy.

The suite was large and well laid out but might be a tight fit for six people. We very much appreciated having two bathrooms. There aren't any closets, although there are plenty of nooks and crannies to stash suitcases and gear. The kitchen includes paper towels, plates, cutlery and a coffee maker, but you should bring your own dish liquid to clean your resort mugs. Mousekeeping kept the suite very clean. We found the suite quiet and rarely heard noise from outside.

While Wifi is free, we found it inadequate. We had spotty reception in the bedroom. Also, for a new hotel, it had a surprising lack of electrical outlets.

We had a good experience with transportation to the parks. We never had to wait long for a bus.

Overall, we were happy with our stay at Art of Animation and would recommend it to others. It is not a luxury hotel, it is noisy and boisterous -- but it is a great choice for a magical family vacation. Thus, I award it a four star rating for being an excellent choice in the value category.
