We stayed two nights in this hotel because of a visit to Epcot. Epcot was only a short drive from the hotel.
We did a short run from this hotel, but the area was not very inspiring.
The apartment, with separate bedroom, was big and had a nice balcony and a well equipped kitchen.
A supermarkt and lots of restaurants are close by.
The bedroom was quiet and we slept well. Shower was good (there even was a hot tub but we didn't use it). There was only soap in the bathroom, no shampoo.
There was a lot of free parking space.

Recent vacation... Very nice staff... Timeshare - so they try to sell you but not overbearing... Super responsive staff... Not fully up to speed internet... adequate for business - not up to movie streaming... Nice lake view from rooms... quiet ... just far enough off the highway to be peaceful... tennis court, basketball court & fitness room w/ 3 machines. Nice friendly vibe... large color TVs in each room... well equipped kitchen (basic)... everything worked... I would stay again... the value was stupendous... the vacation really nice... Didn't get a chance to use the paddle boats or fish... This is not new construction but clean & well kept up...

Room Tip: 2nd Floor - 2 bedrooms & 2 baths...

We booked an extended stay at this property and had a pleasant stay.

The good.

Check-in was quick and the clerk, Ana, was friendly, knowledgeable, courteous and helpful as were all the staff we interacted with during our stay.

We were given a room on the first floor and fortunately for us, there was no one in the room above us. We heard workers dragging furniture above us on two occasions and it was very loud.

It was also the off-season and there were only a few other guests staying at the property, so it was not crowded, noisy or busy.

The room appeared to have been recently renovated by repainting the walls, installing drapery color coordinated to match the furniture and newer appliances.

Parking is free. I was surprised to find out some places charge for that convenience.

The bad.

The air conditioner was on the loud side but with temperatures and humidity in the mid 80s, we were happy to have it.

Housekeeping is done once a week on Wednesdays. They will empty the trash cans, replace towels, change bed linens and are supposed to sweep the floors and vacuum the rug. They did the first two but did not sweep or vacuum in the two weeks we were there. They also did not change our bed linens. We had to strip the bed ourselves and ask the front desk staff for a clean set.

A toilet brush would be a good thing to have in the bathroom.

Wi-Fi is available for $5 per day or $20 per week. Most other places offer it for free.

The weight room is quite small for such a large property. It contains a treadmill, a stationary bicycle, a rowing station and a universal type weight machine.

All in all, we had a good stay and would recommend this property as a place to stay.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the second floor for more quiet and privacy.

My mate and I love going on vacation to Grand Lake and Lifetime of Vacations Resort. It is like going to visit old friends. We have been going there every year for the past 8 years and have made friends with great people from all over the USA , Canada, and several other countries.
Chris the new manager and his staff are always so pleasant and willing to help with any requests we might have. Chris makes it a point to interact with the guests to be sure they are enjoying their time at the Resort.
It was great to see the many improvements he has been able to get approved by the Board of Directors this past year -New key card system, phone system, new computer center, new dock and boats, improved laundry facilities, and several other property improvements. The rooms are clean and comfortable with all the conveniences of home.
We love this place and are looking forward to our 8 weeks there next Feb. and March 2013

We really loved staying at this resort. All rooms have screened in porches overlooking a small, quiet Florida lake. The grounds are beautifully maintained and have spanish moss laden oak trees, and cypress trees. The kids loved catching fish at the end of the dock, and enjoyed the playground and the pool. The rooms were very comfortable, and there's a grocery store right next door. All the people were pleasant and helpful. But do not fall for the "free" breakfast or lunch that is offered when you get your parking pass. We heard stories from others who were bombarded by salespeople to "upgrade". Just say no even when the gift card goes from $85 to $100.
