“A Lakeland Tradition”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 May 2014 credit card Amex Cardmember Review

Mr. Fish is a Lakeland tradition. It is simply a walk-up restaurant. They have one picnic table or you can take home, eat in your car, or walk across the street to a bench overlooking Lake Morton. The fish sandwich is one of the best. Lightly breaded and very tasty. A basket comes with fries and cole slaw. Mr. Fish offers a wide variety of seafood and other items. Sides include hush puppies, corn fritters, collard greens, onion rings.baked beans, fried okra, potato salad, and much, much more. Prices are very reasonable.

“Shack Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2014 via mobile

A great local place for a super fish sandwich meal. The fish was fresh & the fries plentiful. It's beauty is you order from outside the shack & either drive away or eat at one of the picnic tables.
Just a great meal in the Central Florida sunshine.

“Great fish sandwiches at local take out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 January 2014 via mobile

This place has been in business for over 40 years. You order take out at a window of this tiny joint with only one outside table. Amazingly, there are a wide variety of choices. We had their delicious fish sandwiches--very light and tasty--they say that the fish is cooked only after it is ordered. A large sandwich is gigantic (cost about $6.50). Order a platter for $2.50 more and you get excellent fries and cole slaw. It is right across from the art museum and has its own small parking lot.

“You owe it to Yourself”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 December 2013

This place is the epitome of fish sandwiches. Don't expect black tied waiters. The parking lot holds 5 cars. Order your sandwich, walk over to Lake Morton and enjoy your sandwich and the swans. We have been going here for ten years and will continue to do so.

“Great Walk-up Take-out”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2013

The fish sandwich has bee a favorite for years. This is a walk-up across the street from the main library and the Polk Museum of Art and near Lake Morton. A short stroll from the business area around the lake to pick up a generous and delicious fish sandwich to eat at one of the benches on the lake shore while watching ducks, geese and swans enjoying the water is calming and adds to the enjoyment of the fish.
