Family dinner during our annual South Florida vacation. Fun ambiance and pleasant waiter. We arrived at 6:30pm on an August weekday and had no trouble getting seated immediately. The crowd is quite varied from singles out for a drink to young families out for a dinner on the beach. The outdoor patio is nice but the view is obviously much better beachside. We sat indoors at a beachside window and enjoyed the evening sky and ocean view while we waited for dinner. We started with a nachos platter which we shared (family of 5). Nachos was a decent size. We had the portobello mushroom burger (3 of of chose that), the shrimp scampi dinner and the teriyaki chicken plate. Everything was very well prepared and flavourful. After dinner, we went across the street for Italian ice cream at 5D's (fantastic). Overall, a wonderful dinner and outstanding view in a beautiful, quiet part of south Florida.

The view was absolutely lovely. Took the family for a Sunday brunch at the beach. Aruba's has a brunch buffet. The eggs benedict were over cooked the scrambled eggs were runny the bacon was in shreds. Had to wait for plates that came out wet. Had to wait for food to be refilled. Prefer to go for regular lunch or dinner. Would not go back for the brunch.

The service was great.

We had lunch at the Aruba Beach Cafe and it was delicious! It's right on the beach and in the heart of Lauderdale by the Sea. It's a wonderful area filled with shops and restaurants. The restaurant is a very popular place, always filled with lots of people. It's a casual place and the staff was very friendly. They have inside and outside seating. We ate inside and the atmosphere is very Caribbean. They have live music and it's a very lively place. The portions are fairly large and filling. I highly recommend this place if you are in the Ft. Lauderdale area!

I'm happy to say that the renovation of the seaside at Lauderdale by the Sea is complete. The area around Aruba's is beautiful. The restaurant is still great with reasonably priced dishes and the best view of the beach.

We've been coming here since the 90's! And it hasn't changed a bit! Which is a GOOD thing! It's one of those rare places where the food is as good as the view. The fish, no matter which kind or how it's prepared is always fresh and delicious. My favorites are blackened Mahi, swordfish and red snapper- depending on what's freshly available. They have the best blackening mixture! Their conch fritters and conch chowder are amazing. During claw season, theirs are sweet, large and way more affordable than the famous crab claw places, with a better atmosphere to boot. Great selection of beer (key west sunset ale if they have it is great) and the cocktails are always well mixed. There's always a fun band and everyone is in a happy beachy mood. This is the place you want to come for some beachside fun with fabulous food!
