We were 10 people who had rentet this house. All was cleared with the owner on the phone a few days before traveling. A detailed arrival plan was sent the owner. My daughter and her 6 month old child arrived first. We was promised that the owner would meet her. When contacting him upon arrival he did not even answer the phone. After waiting 7 hours without reply from owner, we had no other choice than find another solution. The garden looked very unpleasant and not maintained. This caused a lot of additional stress and cost for us to organize other arrangement without any support from the owner or tripadvisor.
We had a great time at this lovely home only a few blocks away from the ocean. It really was a nice and safe neighbourhood. The house is very spacious and comfortable. The property was clean, newly updated and well maintained. The private pool is beautiful and the walk to the beach is short. Even in winter you can use the pool due to it being heated, that is great. There is a barbeque in the garden as well as table and chairs and a lounge area beside the pool. It is large enough to room a big family or a bunch of friends. We are retired and love Florida. We have stayed at a lot of different places during the years and think Lauderdale by the See is the best. This was a great place to stay. Close to everything we need. We had a great time in June-July with 4th of July celebrations in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea with a good lunch and swimming in the ocean afterwards.
I recommend this place very much. We will absolutely return.
Awesome family-friendly house, great for kids and two sets of parents - or a family and a couple of grandparents. Private secluded pool, walking distance to restaurants, beach access and entertainment - yet very private in a nice gated neighborhood with primarily residents. I would stay again.
Amazing home. My family and I split this home with another family. We had a total of 10 people and never felt crowded.
I will start with the cons.
The house is not in perfect shape. There are some bumps and bruises. However nothing that would detract from your overall enjoyment.
The laundry is in the garage. If I owned the house I would put down some carpet tiles so you don't have to walk on dirty concrete. However you cannot hear the laundry from the bedrooms.
The showers have this half glass instead of full doors or curtains. The shower next to the pool get water on the floor so you need to put down a towel when you shower. There are plenty of towels though.
The house is great. We had 4 adults and 6 kids. There was plenty of room and we never felt crowded. The 12 and 13 year old boys elected to sleep on the couches which turn into beds. Now my son wants one for his room.
The pool was great. Not huge but 6 kids were able to use it without being too crowded. Plenty of seating between the couch, tables (yes 2 of them) and lounge chairs.
The sliding doors were a huge plus. We were able to open up the whole house on cool evenings and it extended the living space to the pool deck. Really enjoyable.
The kitchen was great. The only downside was the electric range. I prefer gas but it worked. Well stocked with pretty much anything you might need. For New Years Eve we boiled lobster, grilled steaks and sauteed shrimp without issue.
The beds were fine. Not amazing but we all slept well. Plenty of linens for any needs.
Easy walking access to the beach, a slightly longer walk or really short drive to a local hot spot at Commercial Blvd and A1A.
Very easy access to Fort Lauderdale airport but not so close you notice it. There were maybe 2 planes that actually flew over the house during our stay.
The best thing I can say about the house is when we go back we will book this house again. We really enjoyed our stay.
