On a trip to Key West, we decided to make a stop in the lower keys. We found Palmer's Resort, and boy were we happy. It was quiet, on the water, and the staff was super friendly. The room was very clean and we had a wonderful view of the water. Breakfast in the morning on the water watching the sunrise was amazing. Later we ran across Sandy the manager and she recommended great places to eat and gave us the ins and outs of the lower keys. The following day we met with a gentlemen name Jay, a discussion of the Keys and Life in general ensued and then he revealed he was the owner. What a down to earth guy. The quiet resort is something we plan for our next vacation to simply escape from it all.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms are right on the water, the views are wonderful.

My husband and I wanted to do a Keys vacation staying in places that we never had before. We started out by staying at the Parmer’s. We stayed in “Lily” which was an upstairs unit consisting of 2 double beds and a bathroom overlooking the pool with a view of the water. The room was clean and simple (basic, no frills).
The resort reminded me of old Florida in the summer, pack up the car with families and fishermen, lets go on vacation. We were using the Resort as a stop over before heading on to Key West. I arose early to get some nice photos of the sunrise and later in the morning as we were packing our car there was a water aerobics class going on in the pool. The staff was pleasant and helped with any questions we had. Theres also a nice breakfast room with coffee, toast, fruits and cereal.
The resort says it has wifi but we couldn't connect.

First time in the Keys and first time at Parmers, and had a great time. Super friendly and helpful staff at Parmers who couldn't do enough for us. Kudos to "Ed" at the desk who helped us find a slip for our rental boat that fit and helped us park it. We were down from MD for our first "mini-season" and they were plenty busy with folks who had been there a ton, but always took the time to help us "rookies" out. We were really impressed with the staff and how clean and well-maintained their compound is. Definitely will be back and can recommend this place without reservation.

Room Tip: We had to change rooms due to us staying longer than expected, but liked both rooms we stayed in.

We stayed here a few nights ago and loved this place. The atmosphere is very laid back and friendly. The staff were very nice when we checked in and showed us around. The rooms are not fancy by any means but well stocked and clean. The morning we were checking out we went diving and the hotel staff told us we could come back after diving and use the shower off the laundry room to get cleaned up even though we had checked out of our room. The breakfast bar in the morning was good. We would stay here again if we're ever in the area. If you're looking for a fancy resort this is not your place but if you're looking for a relaxed, clean, family friendly resort this is the place to go.
