Arrived with our daughter and granddaughter. Upon seeing our granddaughter the hostess gave us a look like Oh no, you don't belong here and said they had no tables. I told her that we would eat out on the veranda and she said oh you can do that and then she took us to see the desserts. We went out on the veranda and our server came and she was very nice to us and made all over our three year old. We have eaten at the hayloft on more than one occasion and this is the first time we have experienced the cold shoulder by a hostess. Our granddaughter is always best behaved and goes to the finest resturants with us and is always complimented on her behavior. Other reviews had mentioned snubs of youth by this resturant and now I believe them.

I get the Cherries Jubilee each time we go. If you order it, you will never be the same! They describe all the desserts first. Don't waste your time. Go right to the cherries jubilee!

We often visit the Haye Loft for dessert when my daughter is in town. She loves the brownie ala mode. It is very good and the portions are large. They have an extensive selection of other desserts including several pies, cheesecake, regular cake in addition to the brownie. It is a great place to have dessert but while the desserts are fairly priced by the time you add the ice cream and order your coffee or other drink it will cost you.

Its perfect for that traditional bar experience. Eric is a genius bartendar and the atmosphere and piano is the best. We are 40 and love it...not a geezer scene...just pervedt.

Desert and Jazz and light eating. What more could you want? It's a casual atmosphere with all of the goodly-goodness of Euphemia Haye's kitchen without all of the pomp. (Ummmm, by the way Euphemia Haye's duck is the best anywhere. But that's another review).

It's a great place to go after dinner for desert and coffee or chocolate cake and red wine (Mmmmmm, reeeddd wiiiinnne). When we go there's usually a solo guitarist playing soft jazz.

No, it's not the loft at Berns. But it won't take a wheelbarrow full of cash to have a piece of cake there either.

On Longboat key you have two types of people: those in the know and those who aren't. If you go to the Haye Loft, you are pretty much classified as being in the know. Isn't that what you want?

They usually have at least ten different deserts any given time. Some are pies, some are cakes. They have ice cream too. Did I mention that chocolate cake and red wine is my definition of heaven?

If you want to go to heaven, you now know how.
